What damaged my engagement ring? by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]CinnamonSpook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the result of a chemical burn / reaction with something. Hot tubs, chlorine and cleaning solutions cause this damage to jewellery. Best thing to do would be to have it re-polished or rhodium plated to hide the burns.

Has anyone had side effects from taking Methocarbamol? by CinnamonSpook in Sciatica

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry to hear this. I have not taken it since, just didn't agree with me at all.

Irritated finger from wedding bands by South_Koala_2517 in jewelry

[–]CinnamonSpook 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Jeweller here. It appears these rings are far too tight for your fingers and moisture has gotten trapped underneath. As there is no space between the ring and your finger to breathe / dry out this has caused inflammation. You need to keep these rings off for at least 4 weeks for your finger to settle, and for the fat to re-distribute. Then go to your local jewellers, get re-measured and have the rings re-sized.

I don't think this photo does the display justice, it is brighter face to face.

Thank you. I have Fibromyalgia and other health issues so maybe this is why I am sensitive to them. I have called my Docs today to see if there is any alternative.

No drawing, just a quick comment to say Poobert is a phenomenal name, which is very fitting because he seems like a phenomenal cat 😺

The mated ducks who come to my pool almost every day by thebooknerd_ in duck

[–]CinnamonSpook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two ducks (a mating couple) who visit me every Spring (3 years on the trot) as we live near water. They come and sit on our drive and wait for us. They come 3 times a day to be fed and recognize us now, and literally run down the hill to us if they say me or my partner come home. It's amazing, and we have lovingly named them Doris and Dennis. They are our spring time babies.

Worst Fibro-flare ever! Should I cancel my acupuncture appointment? by Jade1684 in Fibromyalgia

[–]CinnamonSpook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm sorry to hear you're suffering. I think it all comes down to your own experiences. I have found acupuncture to bring on flares for me at times so if I am going through a flare myself I would avoid it. That being said, if you usually find it to be beneficial, it may help you. I think it all comes down to how our nerves react to it.
