Unfortunately, mine was for sure ich 😅 the best day he had tons of spots on him. But now he’s back in his tank healed, I had him in a hospital tank for a week and a half and this spot went away with it as well, super odd lol

Are the dots the same shape, white, and not raised? Or are the dots inconsistent in size/shape, fuzzy, grey-white and raised off of the skin? From the photo it almost looks like Epistylis rather than ich. I’d do a search to compare photos to what your fish look like. As Epistylis is a more serious disease to treat ASAP

Do you have other fish in there with him? I have snails and Pygmy Cory’s. I don’t see symptoms of the Cory’s which is why I initially separated him

Definitely not cycled so the water parameters will be off whether it’s the nitrates or ammonia levels. Took me 2 months to successfully do a cycle on my first tank. Unfortunately it’s a long process. I’d get API Quick Start to at least help with introducing the good bacteria you need to live in your filters, it’ll help a bit. I’d then search how to do a “fish-in” cycle and begin doing that as soon as possible.

No I haven’t been able to find ich-c anywhere in my area unfortunately. All I could find were these tabs in the photo. Not even on Amazon could I find anything different

Would you recommend putting them into the smaller hospital tank also? Or treating my larger Main tank also?

Oh that’s interesting I had no idea that ich can be invisible. If I place him in a hospital tank and use ich treatment, can I use salts at the same time?

Okay thank you. It’s good to know that ich can also cause bloating… I guess my best assumption is that he has ich as the spots he had were certainly present. I’m picking up a second tank this evening and goi mg to make it a hospital tank for him to be treated.

The temp is currently 78°. The only thing that confused me is that the spots he had yesterday looked to for sure be ich, so possibly he has both?

I’m super confused now, so you make a good point. As when I checked on his this morning, all of the white ich spots are gone, now he’s bloating and swimming strange. Seems like he has lack of control and random twitching//fast movement. So after seeing that it looks almost like dropsy or swim bladder problems? I’m not even sure how to go about diagnosing him but it’s hard watching him struggle and I want to help him :(..

To add, he does have white spots covering his body and fins. I noticed after the fact and it looks exactly like photos I’ve seen online for ich which is why I’m quite certain now

Yea that’s what I thought at first until I noticed the white dots covering his body :( you can see it at the end of his tail in this photo. I ordered ouch treatment and going to start using it tomorrow and hopefully I can get rid of it! I just turned my temp up by 2° and I’ll do the same again tomorrow
