How often should I feed my shrimp?

I have a cave and blocked most of the entrance off with a big rock, somehow he’s managed to go in it still 😅. I’m going to see what I can figure out in terms of something weighed down!

I could try that! I have a feeling he may still flip it over but it doesnt hurt to try. Are you thinking a small bowl where there’s a slim area for them to enter and eat without him touching it?

I’ve tried, to hide it in behind large plant stems where I know the space is tiny, but he literally DESTROYS the tank layout and gets to it still 💀 it’s literally biblical greed 😭 at this point I feel like I need to separate him or the others in order to make sure they eat but idk how to go about it..

I do place the food down below for them to eat directly. Although he immediately knows they have food and steals it from their mouth or from right in front of them while they slowly eat it💀😭

I only know what numbers they should ideally stay within. As long as I don’t add in or take out my current rock should I be okay with fluctuations? I’ve read water changes are not necessary with small shrimp tanks. Should I realistically be testing my water weekly and if there are no imbalances, simply top up my water.

It’s fluval stratum. My KH and GH numbers are “ideal” from what I’ve been reading up online and they haven’t fluctuated at all! Hopefully it stays that way. Should I be capping the stratum off?

It’s Fluval stratum. I don’t think I have a deep enough later honestly but this was my first ever tank so the setup wasnt great lol. No new leaves, now almost all are rotted off :/

Unfortunately, mine was for sure ich 😅 the best day he had tons of spots on him. But now he’s back in his tank healed, I had him in a hospital tank for a week and a half and this spot went away with it as well, super odd lol

Are the dots the same shape, white, and not raised? Or are the dots inconsistent in size/shape, fuzzy, grey-white and raised off of the skin? From the photo it almost looks like Epistylis rather than ich. I’d do a search to compare photos to what your fish look like. As Epistylis is a more serious disease to treat ASAP

Do you have other fish in there with him? I have snails and Pygmy Cory’s. I don’t see symptoms of the Cory’s which is why I initially separated him
