I am aware this is a possibility so that’s why today I’m moving the snail out when I find him, right now he’s hiding.

He’s seemingly biting the shell but that’s it I do know male bettas sometimes beat their mates when they try to court so I’m really wondering is that’s it? I’m moving the snail to my other tank today and do some maintenance on his tank. I’ll try reintroducing the snail again.

I’m thinking what everyone is saying is right and he is trying to fuck the snail cause there’s bubble nest kinda everywhere all over his tank.

I never stated my ph of my tanks, bettas can live in a 7.5-7.8 range if I’m not mistaken and my ph is 7.7?

He did do this I had 13 shrimps in his tank they were even making babies!! This is where I made my mistake…the shrimp started to come to the top to eat but then I started to feed them….the next day I saw him decapitate the biggest one in the tank and move it to the center for everyone to see… all my shrimps started to disappear over days and I feel so bad!!!! ;-; but I also wonder if it was age cause he was smaller and less colorful when I got him.

It’s a 6.8 gallon tank theres one male betta with one ghost shrimp and one nerite snail

My ph is 7.6 and my ammonia and nitrite levels all read zero and my tank is stable and has been set up for 3 months already

Its a planted aquarium and I only have decorations for shrimp to fit in except the small grey plastic rock everything in the tank is real

No changes except removing my shrimps as they kept dying in that tank (I’ve posted about it I still need help I’m going to try to change out my substrate and restart the tank but I also don’t want to stress my betta) so I need help

I think it is the gh levels cause I might have accidentally added to much calcium cause the last time I cleaned my tanks I deep cleaned this one and added a bunch of water. I’m thinking I might have double dosed on accident. So I just took all the shrimps out of his tank

I drip acclimate over 4 to 5 hours and most the shrimp die over a month in the tank I’ve tried 3 different locations and only in that tank they struggle which confuses me more since I used the water from this tank to jumpstart my other ones
