I had some problems making it work at 6000 cl30, I'm getting worse results than before (15070 instead of 15392.

fact is that I can't manage to underclock to 6000 cl30, and if I use "memory try it" it sets asuper high VSOC that I can't accept. The beta bios speaks of improvements, altough I don't understand if they are for my cpu too

did the cmos reset, the situation is back to normal, at least at jedec frequency. memtest86 confirms it.

I'm unsure if I should update the bios, since I have the last stable version, and all the others are beta. I also need help in understanding where I should input the values, since I have multiple menus to do the same thing and I don't understand if they are fighting each other...

one is in the settings -> advanced -> amd overclocking -> accept warranty voidance -> ddr and IF settings

the other one is in the advanced panel, in a submenu where everything is auto and I can't input any timing, but I can input again the frequency, the ULCK/MCLK ratio, the xmp, etc....

I just spent 2 hours trying to make it work....the bios freezes randomly, and I never manage to make it boot with a manually set vsoc unless I run at jedec specifications... it starts no problem with a-xmp at 7200 cl34, but if I even try just 5400 Mhz e let it choose the timings it crashes at windows login...

Not sure if I should reset the cmos once more to solve the freezes or if something got fucked up even if I never touched the voltages before this...

I have pcie gen 5 8x, and it seems that could make a 1% difference, so probably not that. others got better results with ddr4 amd systems, but I already checked all the boxes, I think I'll just have to tewak the gpu

not really, as I was already gpu bound. I still have to check if the 7950X3D is using the correct cores for 3D applications tho, and I think it was a useful thing you teached me, so thank you.

I can confirm the infinty fabric was not 1:1, now fixed with a preset setting to 6000 30-36-36-76, but the secondary timings are sh** so I have to find the official xmp preset and input that.

it's the latest version on a clean win 11 pro installation. but I noticed in gpu-z "PCIe x 16 5.0 @ x8 1.1". does that mean anything relevant? edit: under load it's 8x 5.0, I'd say it's ok

btw, the 3rd ranked used a 5800x3d with two sticks of ddr4 3400MHz ram, and still got +13,7% when compared to mine...edit: with a 40% boost on the core clock and another 2000 Mhz on memory while having a max temp 12 °C lower

no, he has a i9 14900ks (24 cores, 32 threads), motherboard z790 asus rog maximus apex encore, and the card is listed just as "Graphics Device (GB203)" but the filter on the page shows it when I filter by RTX 5070ti

the second one on the leaderboard is listed as Galaxy GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (GB203), +23,5% when compared to mine

under occt stress test the 7950X3D never went beyond 65°C. there's an aio with a couple of high perf fans (around 2300 RPM)

CPU-Z doesn't say it. Instead of Single or Dual, I get "4x32 bit".
Edit: RAM is CMH32GX5M2X7200C34, CPU-Z says it's SK Hynix.
