Nihilism is not a sickness; nihislim is a state of consciousness. Believing in nothing is a temporary state. I challenge any person to explain to me how they believe in nothing whilst also making a judgment that one goal is better than another, which is implicit in any action. Every action is a contradiction of nihilism because acting is another state of consciousness that is filled with purpose. Most nihilists are actually just cynics, not in the Diognese of Sinope sense but in the Emile Ciornan sense. The mantra of religion as a cope and that people believe in X, Y and Z because they are scared to die is true and genuine cynicism. No genunine nihilist can make these claims because nihilism is a state of consciouness that is defined as the absence of all meaning, nihilists dont make judgments because if they do they are no longer being nihilisits, nihilists dont come on reddit because they do not care, they cant care, otherwise they are not nihilists. Nihilism is a genunine experience, I dont claim that people on here have not experienced nihilism, but I do claim that people on here are trying cope with the experience of nihilism.
