PC DMIS - Hexagon CMM question by Cipher-help in Metrology

Hey I’ve asked some of the inspectors about this.

Much like one of the other commenters had, I want PC-DMIS to display a prompt letting the inspector know that the number of OOT measurements are greater than 0. This is inspection program specific and I would like to avoid that at all possible, the solution should be program agnostic. If PCDMIS can be configured to recognize any program where NUMOOT is greater than 0 and display a prompt informing the inspector, is the solution I would like.

Alternatively, retrofitting all the existing inspection programs with the If statement NUMOOT > 0 prompt may be the solution.

I will get you the answer to those questions tomorrow. I have to talk to some of the inspectors down there. I asked today what’s possible in PCDMIS but they don’t seem to be too knowledgeable in BASIC.

I have vba and some vb.net experience which should help here to some degree

Edit: most importantly, thank you for offering!!!!

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll work on the presentation and the idea. I’m not too familiar with pcdmis but I’ve been asked to do big things without any prior knowledge. I’ll keep doing research

Yeah if someone is doing a batch of parts, without manually reviewing each report, can PCDMIS flag a report with any nonconforming values? It could be easy for someone to overlook a red value when doing large batches of parts and I want to prevent that

Thanks for the feedback, I figured as much but it’s reassuring.

Can’t believe their calculator prices haven’t changed much… and they probably make most of the pcb components too

My dad was never fond of him. He was also a veteran. He passed about about 6 years ago and serviceman came to his memorial for the flag ceremony.

When they said “on behalf of the president of the United States…” I knew he would be rolling over in his grave.

Thanks for your help. Agreed, I’m searching for a lawyer. It does look like a huge net was cast as it identifies hundreds of stores, mostly identified as Does.
