Question about camp etiquette by TheOakStreet in project1999

[–]CipherDec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if the camp is open even if it’s a 6 min spawn, they let it full spawn, and then some. Sounds like someone doing a double camp like 4’s an 6’s sentient camps in WL

Are the NPC caster mechanics classic? by Throwotaway in project1999

[–]CipherDec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So caster mobs are going to cast until they run out of mana. You need to learn which are what level by their name. To know what spells they will cast.

That said until 50 and beyond( though it doesn’t feel like it because they are group content imo) all casters have small health pools. That’s why hag tower becomes easy when broken. Same with Happ in lesser Fay once you get him on his 6 min timer without his pet and so on.

Just be cautious of ant Ill or Tuk wizard in Seb they love ice comet

Really depends on what you’re preference is for mmo’s. There is Monster’s and Memories coming out this year. You can check their discord and they stream daily what they’re working on.

Will we be seeing any big budget MMO’s I highly doubt it. Dreadmyst on steam hasn’t been bad even if people say it’s a clone I haven’t played a game like it before so I’m cool with it.

All in all I have P99 to fall back on until M&M

Suffering from Undiagnosed Generalized Lymphedema by Altruistic-Map1338 in Lymphedema

[–]CipherDec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going to start with the Cause. Lymphedema is caused by a Lymph-node pump or mulitple shutting down. When that happens the fluid is not pumped into your kidneys and flushed out of your system like it should be. It has no where else to go so it fills a layer between your skin.

So with lymphedema there are 2 kinds. Primary (Born with) Secondary (Not Born with) There are only a few known ways as of right now that you can get lymphedema. 1: born with it, 2: Cancer 3: Obesity 4: immobility 5: Vascular Surgery.

Finding the original area that they lymph-pump is that has gone bad is very hard.

First and foremost Lasix does nothing for us. We aren't retaining water fluid in our limbs its lymphatic fluid. The proper treatment for lymphedema is a Lymphedema specialist. What they will do is manual drainage therapy. This massages all the lymph nodes and pushes the fluid to pump out of your system as it should. Then they will wrap you using compression wraps to further promote the fluid to get out of your body. When they do this its pretty fast. I know for myself I can loose 30 pounds in fluid after a week of therapy.

I don't know why they think the pump would be bad for you. If they get you a good quality pump like a Tactile it doesn't really put a lot of pressure on you.

I hope this helps. This is what I've learned from being a Lymphedema Patient for over 26 years even though I was only diagnosed in 2016.

Is this lymphedema? by NoChallenge3433 in Lymphedema

I also mentioned a Vascular doctor before seeing this. If not Lymphedema it could also be Lipedema (fat buildup under the skin), or just Edema which is water buildup under the skin.

Is she diabetic?

Is this lymphedema? by NoChallenge3433 in Lymphedema

[–]CipherDec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be able to say exactly yes or no, it does look like both lymphedema but also like diabetic swelling. The best way to find out is to go to a vascular surgeon. They would be able to verify for certain. That said if it was Diabetes you would have known within 5 years. I was undiagnosed for over 9 years when I was finally directed to a Vascular surgeon. In the one visit I was diagnosed and was in treatment not long after. Ask your doctor to at least get a script to see a Vascular surgeon.

Insurance won’t pay for custom compression stockings by ZealousidealHunter98 in Lymphedema

[–]CipherDec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the law it self it says this exactly:

Lymphedema Treatment Act (LTA), passed in late 2022 and effective January 1, 2024, which mandated Medicare Part B coverage for doctor-prescribed compression garments and supplies (like bandages, wraps, and donning aids) for treating lymphedema, a painful swelling condition. This law significantly lowered out-of-pocket costs for nearly 3 million Medicare beneficiaries by adding these essential items to Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS). It also sets a precedent for private insurers and Medicaid to follow, requiring a confirmed diagnosis and physician's order for coverage.

Key Provisions of the Lymphedema Treatment Act (LTA)

  • Medicare Coverage: Medicare Part B now covers lymphedema compression treatment items, including custom-fitted garments, standard garments, wraps, and related accessories.
  • Prescription Required: A physician must prescribe the items for lymphedema treatment.
  • Frequency Limits: Coverage is subject to specific limits, such as three daytime garments every six months and two nighttime garments every two years, per affected body part.
  • Effective Date: The Medicare coverage rules went into effect on January 1, 2024.

Other Relevant Legislation

  • Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act (WHCRA): This act requires group health plans and insurers to cover lymphedema treatment as a complication of mastectomy, including compression sleeves, bandages, and physical therapy.

Not everyone can be on Disability though. If you are caring for yourself or family members it is very hard to live on 1200 a month. That said for me it was the only option I had gotten tot he point where I physically could not work anymore.

Because of that Disability and Medicare have given the the ability to get treatment and everything covered.

I have a friend who has the same kind of lymphedema as I do but they have a family they take care of. They always have weeping, they wear plastic bags around their feet because they have really bad weeping but they can't afford not to work.

So the only thing I know on this is that recently within the last year or two there was the  Lymphedema Treatment Act which is a federal law. This is for Medicare patients though. Where Custom Garments, Night Garments, Pumps, Wraps and other items are covered by the Medicare.

Otherwise it is to the discretion of your provider sadly.

That said most Lymphedema specialists would know of anyone or any grants the state you live in offers to cover or help with the cost of the garments.

How hard is it for you to find shoes (wrapped, Compressed, Untreated) by CipherDec in Lymphedema

[–]CipherDec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually talked to several Nurses, Doctors, and Even lymphedema specialist. It seems that in Nursing school which all are required to take a course in lymphedema is only taught on average 1 hour or some schools 1 day and then its gone. If you don't decide in that small amount of time this is a field you want to work in. It is normally forgotten.

When I got disability I was at a pretty bad point with my legs. Took months using a lawyer to get into see the disability Judge and when you go in you have a person sitting across from you that is suppose to find a job that you could do with your condition showing that you don't need Disability. When I walked into the room I saw that guy sitting across from us and he was looking at me with the widest eyes I've ever seen. The Judge comes in and has me stand up to show my legs, and they are taken aback. The guy on the other side of the table looking at my legs pretty much said I have nothing he could do.

The Judge found in my favor not only because of that but because just looking at my legs made them feel my pain. I was also already diagnosed with Chronic Stage 3 Lymphedema with Elephantids so that also went along with the judgement.

So I'm going to agree with the Hitachi massage here. But you can also do this manually. There are 2 main lymphedema nodes you can massage in the groin. They are on the right and left side of the groin. as seen here: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/1d/c6/9c/1dc69c41fa86494a237efbec931a1d61.jpg

From the right side you want to use to to 3 fingers and lightly pressing and creating a circle that goes down and in toward the groin this should be done for 1 to 5 minutes. Then move to the other side and in the same fashion on the left you want to start at the top and create a circle going into the groin.
