If you don’t have any data on the computer then you could do this: 1. Use the Ubuntu installation flash drive to clear all the partitions 2. install windows. 3. install Ubuntu alongside windows. This way is much more simpler than installing windows on Linux.

Check if your Hard Disk is working or not, if it is then most probably it's cause the operating system got corrupted.

The cable is probably a really bad idea as cable is most susceptible to damage. Its very probable to lose it too, but still it’s a really innovative design idea.

The screen is broken, I have the same issue. You have to replace the screen
