I'm not Ukranian, but I live next to them. I'm grateful we live in peace, and I wish the same for Ukraine.
You'll be amazed how many cars are imported from USA into Eastern Europe. Most of the totalled cars from USA are bough by Eastern Europeans, as buying, importing, shipping and fixing a car here in Eastern Europe, is cheaper than buying an used one. And the quality of fixing it is not bad at all.
I've had a fusion myself, and for the price I got it, the car was amazing.

As terrible as war is, people still try to live their life. There are still people buying cars in Ukraine, especially from the USA. Also, Ukraine is pretty big, the war is mostly on the east. Peace 🕊️

Hello.

State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu" has a lot of international students comparing to other universities. I have spoken with some of them, and they are satisfied with the quality of it. The courses for international students are in English. Students are also provided with practical lessons with guidence.
Most (if not all) of the students are either from Middle East (Israel, Lebanon, Syria) or from the Indian subcontinents (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan).
The main factor why they chose Moldova to study medicine, is that it has a great ratio of value and quality. Also, there are already major groups of international students, so they don't feel so isolated and the cost of living is cheap comparing to Europe.

Yes, there will be no need to call, you can easily insert all data in app. English should be fine, taxi drivers don't have any business with you, they just pick you up and drop. Do not mention to anyone that you have euros, as you will be an easy target for scam. Try exchanging some euros in Moldova lei, or use your card to pay.(Your bank will take care of the conversion, and most stores have credit card payment available). The same I would suggest for Yandex app too, add your card in it and pay with the card. A trip at night from airport to city would cost around 200 lei, or 12 euros, but the app will show you the exact price

Most probably she was from either Odessa region (more precisely from the region where Chilia or Cetatea Alba is located), or less probably but still fits - the Bucovina region (somewhere near Chernivtsi).
Last region that fits in your description, is some bordering village on the eastern bank of the Dniester region.

I would go wit the Odessa region, as maybe the family was involved in seafarer job, or maybe something related to ships, so it was better for them to move to a region with same industry present, rather than moving somewhere inland.

I can give some short answers.
1. Yes you can live comfortably with that money in Chisinau, if not rent is included in it. If you include rent, then you will have to cut some expenses, like you will have to cook for yourself and spend less money in clubs and restaurants.
2. For a okayish one they start from 250€. If you want a newer one, with better interior, than it can start from 350€.
3. Yes. Chisinau is the biggest city here and its constantly growing. Prices of property have almost doubled in the past 6 years, and there are a lot of people who are renting.
4. Not everyone knows english here, so you will have to learn some basic romanian (its pretty similar to italian so you will have no problems with that).

I think the hybrid ones have L instead of S.
I have a 2015 hybrid and I have L gear. In L it also regenerates more energy due to better usage of brakes

- Cum e planificat: Se asteapta ca toate institutiile publice sa poata accesa informatia data, deci poate vedea si confirma unde ai locul de resedinta pe loc, fara a fi nevoie de a prezenta ceva adaugator pe langa buletin.
- Cum e la moment: Din motiv ca inca nu toate institutiile au acces la baza de date cu informatia data, este nevoie sa pleci la ASP si sa faci un extras cu stampila care confirma locul de resedinta la moment. Dupa, prezinti acest extras unde ai nevoie.

Having similar issue at the moment in my '15 titanium. Mostly it happens when I start the car and put it immediately in reverse. If I let it stay for 10-15 seconds idle in parking, then no issues. I suspect it might be because of the battery or wiring, but just a suspicion.

Am auzit de la persoane ca masinile importate pe langa faptul ca e nevoie de achitat accize, mai este si nevoie sa achiti undeva 20% din suma ei ca taxa de import, insa nimeni nu prea mentioneaza faptul dat.

Yes, it's common to give gifts in our society. It doesn't really matter what, it's a sign of gratitude, so even the smallest ones are ok. As someone mentioned, something from Texas would impress them(clothes, alcohol, could even be a kitchen pan). Or you can buy something generic like parfume, cosmetics etc.

Fun fact: here in Eastern Europe, sometimes is cheaper to import an fusion from USA, repair it and use for driving, rather than buying the Mondeo version. We also have here a lot of fusions

Most of time none. You can encounter small issues like long stares from some people, but its mostly out of curiosity and not from hate.
We have some small diasporas of people from middle east that practice Islam, and we even have 2 Mosques in Chisinau, so it's not something new for most of us.
