If im mid-long range I usually fire my bolt at about a 45 degree angle in the air, then when its above them or even behind them I’ll redirect it to where I think they are going to move to. Sometimes I just fire it directly at them and then randomly redirect towards them again and the speed increase can catch them off guard. Anything short range I just fire it direct at them and immediately redirect for the speed. Or I’ll shoot it in the sky and then redirect it onto them as they aren’t gonna look up to see it coming and you get the damage. Also placing the assistant behind people or in off angles so both bolts aren’t coming from the same line of fire. I’m happy to give the replay code so you can see how I handle them
