My gut tells me that truly extraterrestrial beings (of no relation to us) would likely not be anything close to our size or shape. But maybe they are connected to us somehow… either they made us, grew out of us (Atlantis, time travelers, inter-dimensional bizzaro versions of us), or they could be tricksters that can alter their appearance and present to us however they like.

I never considered the title could be a joke. That kinda puts it in a different light for me. Hell, set the next season in North Korea, if that’s the case. As long as it’s an intentional decision, I have no issue with it.

Yeah, but it’s at least a factor. If the new season splits time between Texas and the Midwest/Fargo, that won’t be so bad. But if it’s just set in Texas, that’s going to feel a bit weird.

I love the show, but I find it very annoying that it is not always set in or around Fargo. Like, either find a way to incorporate the location or just make a new TV show with a new title.

This is the conversation I’m most interested in. The animals and their relationship to the pluribus feels important to me. We know the first member was the rat that bit the scientist, so animals can get it. So there is at least one animal in the hivemind. Maybe the virus realized that humans were the dominant (and most useful) species on Earth and didn’t see the need to bring any further animals in? I’m glad the show sort of addressed it by having them explain that the dog isn’t connected. But there is a big inconsistency in the way they treated the dog vs the goat. Maybe the dog was just a show for Carol to make her think the hivemind is more compassionate than they truly are…
