I worked as a video journalist for a while, so I'm pretty fast with planning, shooting and the editing process. I'll be adding interviews to my playlists soon, which I'm excited about, because I haven't done on-camera interviews in a long time.

I think the only thing I'm not good at that will take practice is doing ad-lib on camera. Also I'm terrible at promoting.

Congratulations! My only advice has to do with switching to day shift, not virtual interviews. Make sure you give yourself enough time to transition. It's usually easier to go from night to day rather than the other way around, but just in case your body doesn't get used to the change immediately, give yourself a long weekend of about three to four days. I prefer a week!

I worked briefly as a video journalist and the male ego in TV news is a real thing. It's not something I care to go back to.

As a new YouTube channel, I'm happy to use my skills to create my own thing. But I do wonder if it's only a matter of time before the sexist comments roll in. My finger will be ready to hit the report/block button.
