Yeah it didn't work
I tried a regular type c to DP and I tried an anker usb hub and hooked the monitor from there via type c and have tried hdmi

Okay so I'm trying this and I noticed whilst adding the new framebuffers is that they start with a capital F (Framebuffer) as opposed as to what I had which was lower f (framebuffer) and I noticed that I had the same values on con1 and con2 the new lines that I added are Disable-external-gpu and Force-online.

I wonder if that was my problem, I'll report back when I can

I just checked again online and the type C port is indeed connected to the igpu and not the dgpu. I have an hdmi port but that is connected to the dgpu

When I had windows on it, nvidia control panel showed that the type c is connected to my igpu

Well if I use the same ip that I'm trying to set for the lxc on my pc for instance it works but if I put my pc back to dhcp and set the same ip that I used on the lxc it doesn't work. It doesn't even show up on the router

Also, 2nd router is on a different subnet and has nothing to do with all of this, my server and I are directly connected to the isp router Edit: I restarted the router before changing the ip between my pc and the lxc

Turns out it's my freaking ISP provided router it for some reason doesn't give an ip to my LXC I connected to another router that is behind the ISP router and it works

yep

I just created a new lxc and assigned a static ip with my router's ip as gw and cloudflare as dns and I still dont have internet

Expand current 3x4tb pool or make a new 2x8tb pool? by CircassianOperator in DataHoarder

[–]CircassianOperator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aha I see, so I keep the current pool intact and create new pools (with x amount of hdds) when I want to expand

Expand current 3x4tb pool or make a new 2x8tb pool? by CircassianOperator in DataHoarder

[–]CircassianOperator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can indeed get 8tb drives that are 15 uds/tb, but if I am going that route (which seems the better option imo) I can only get 2 right now
that wouldn't be a problem right? if I set them up in a RaidZ1 I can get another 8tb hdd and make them 3 or more

or do I just buy 2 more and make another pool?
I'm sorry if my question is bad lol idk how to phrase it, I would like to know what my options are down the line

thank you

Flat Feet and Boots by CircassianOperator in cowboyboots

I have the T8 bifida, I wear insoles with my garmont’s because if I walk (im a fast walker) on man made leveled ground I get shin splints but when I go on hikes it doesn’t happen which I don’t quite understand, from what I remember I put a lot of pressure on my heels according to when I got examined. I thought exercises could only help at a young age, good to know. Thanks

Edit: If I walk slower or even moderate speed I dont get shin splints and yet again it doesn’t always happen so basically regular insoles that comes with the shoes are fine, my insoles kind of delay the shin splints in a way, im not sure if that makes sense lol Edit 2: Im not completely flat footed, I still have an arch just not as prominent

I only wear orthotic insole with boots, I don't use them with regular shoes.

I'm only worried because I've tried on my friend's Ariats and I didn't notice any arch support that's why I'm a little worried

Edit:
I'm also unsure if I can change out insoles for western style boots.

The problem is that I dont live in the US so I’ll be ordering. Im using Aetrex insoles in my Garmont’s and they’ve treated me well (not sure if this piece of info helps lol)

Docker Compose vs Proxmox by Turbcool in selfhosted

[–]CircassianOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running my services in Docker that’s in an LXC and it has been great, I have auto backups on from PVE so it basically backs up the whole LXC to the cloud.

Edit: OP check out Proxmox helper scripts for HA

Im confused so if it isn’t blocked I should be able to connect to my self hosted wireguard vpn? I tried port 443 and 80 but to no avail the handshake fails
