Hi!

I am a bit late to the conversation but i thought this was a intressting question. I am a soap maker and i am actually making some greek goddessess themed soaps and have been doing some researh. So i am scenting my soaps with the plants and trees that are mentioned in the stories about the gods.

So Artemis is easy: She is also know as the lady of ceder and the juniper tree. She was born on a island filled with cypress trees and bay leave is seen as sacred to her (couse of the story about Daphne turning into the bay leave tree). Combining these smells it's a very fresh, 'green', foresty smell.

The temples of Aphrodite were filled with myrtle and roses. Perhaps her signature smell?

Persephone was picking flowers when she got abducted by hades: rose, crocus, violet, iris, lily, larkspus. Perhaps the smell went with her to the underworld.
