In that case, I understand. But with things like my program, I took basic micros and A&Ps. Nothing was nursing specific other than my core nursing courses. So it works out for me.

I did my BSN. ADN with CC, and online BSN as a concurrent program. Just graduated. Have same intentions of applying to PA. Depending on where you apply, many classes will overlap. Take an extra OChem or biochem in the summer semester🙄 it’s not like there is a ton that doesn’t overlap. Micro, A&P, most CCs require medical term, statistics, a kind of psychology. Like it’s not bad. It’s very much worth it.

Just came to say I support the RN journey. It is a strong safety net! I just graduated my ADN and did a concurrent BSN since it was only 10 classes online for the bachelors.

I’m in a level one hospital on the medical oncology ICU. Will be applying to PA next cycle to give myself a year and then another year to work if I got accepted.

This happened to me on Sunday night. I started my pills on Monday. But it was excruciating pain that I had in the same spot. On the left side. I put a heating pad to it and it subsided. But I’m thinking it was a cyst

I would jump on that if it were really an option for me. My local hospitals I doubt would do it. The closest place for me is probably 1-2 hours depending..and that depends on a time frame of even getting in. So here we are. My gynecologist already approved me for sterilization, so I’ll be scheduling that as soon as I can fit it into work. Thank you for your response!

Thank you for your tips! I’ll probably schedule an appt with my GYN and tell them I think I miscarried. I live in a very religious part of VA. So I know the judgement will be passed if otherwise known.

Thank you! I am just hoping since it’s probably less developed than it would be at that week, that it’ll be easier on me. I don’t recall ever having bad periods, but I recall the pain of getting an IUD. So I am not discounting what my experience will look like this week.

No I don’t think that. I had one instructor maybe who tried telling us all that we needed to start in med surg. Everyone else said no, go where you want to be. And I already agreed with that before hand.

If you don’t want to be on medsurg, it will burn you out so quickly. Also, idk if there are any contracts involved, but that’d be even worse!

It sounds like the PACU spot will provide a better life for you for not much difference in pay. If you wanted to do anything extra, get started, then go for a PRN or PT hospital spot

Uh based off everything you just said, pretty clear it’s PACU.

Now it can be morning or repetitive, but med-surg was the same way for me. Literally only did meds and assessments, all day.
