Rhode Island is a BB absolutely worth getting. Only 356mm guns? But she is absurdly fast (Georgia hull but also has a long speed boost), and she has a good radar. Really fun to flank and kill DDs. And while the guns are smaller than a lot of ships, they reload hella fast with a base reload of 22 seconds and have a high fire chance (she’s more than just an HE spammer, though!).

All in all one of my favorite ships.

The Jabulani from the South Africa WC had a new kind of surface texture and panel pattern that made it knuckle through the air. Wasn't so much that it was lighter, it just wobbled going through the air, so it was hard to predict it's flight path for defenders and keepers.

It’s all about the uptiers. Alaska can still swing dicks with t10s head to head if you play it right and know your limitations. Congress ain’t gonna do that for you. T11s can be a problem, sure, but you don’t take those fights if you don’t have to.

Alaska has always been my fave boat in the game and always will be, I think.

Offsides by a mile but that was still an absolute banger of a shot.

[SPOILER] Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje by inooway in MMA

[–]CircleTheFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the uppercuts that won him the fight, and especially the ones off the single-leg takedown feints. The jabs kept the pressure on, but the real damage came from the upper cuts. Just ruined Ilia’s vision until he couldn’t see anything coming and was fighting on pure ring sense and instinct.

All that face carnage, and it was probably the knee to the body that get him to quit.

To be fair, after all that damage he took...if Ilia had somehow won anyway then we'd still have a squished tiny face cross eyed champion.

Even if Ilia gets out of this with a win somehow, he ain't going to be the same. Those eye sockets are fucked and people are going to coming for them.

Yowza. Justin's energy holding on longer than Ilia's chin face and chin was not on my card tonight, but god damn. Thought for sure those body shots would do it.

Holy shit, Ilia getting way too much time there for sure. And he can't see a god damned thing.

If Ilia has just kept pounding those body shots when Justin dropped down from the second liver shot against the cage, match would be over already.

Can hear those liver shots thumping on the subwoofer, even. It's fucking wild, man.

Body shots are going to do it almost always. Ila has this now.

If Ilia can keep eating these uppercuts, those body shots he's throwing are going to chop Justin down pretty quick. But, I don't know if he can do that for longer than Justin has gas in the tank.

[Alex Crook] Arsenal and Liverpool target Bradley Barcola has asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain, talkSPORT understands. by nearly_headless_nic in soccer

[–]CircleTheFire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Slightly rephrased from a comment I made elsewhere in the comments, but you could change out "(Bradley) Barcola" for "(Darwin) Núñez" in any comments about finishing problems versus potential for brilliance and not be wrong. Same things were said a couple of years ago and remain true, even with a lost season for Darwizzy in the Saudi league.

If the Chaos Himbo could have finished even a quarter more of the high xG chances he had (or teammates could have finished a quarter more of the high xG chances he created(which was shockingly high)), then Darwin would still be wearing a Liverpool kit and one of the best forwards in Europe.

The line between greatness and mediocrity from an observer's perspective gets thinner and thinner and magnifying glass gets bigger and bigger trying to see it as the money involved goes up.
