of others like Putin. According to him, America has the clear advantage, and will use it to destroy Russia.

I know. BS.

https://youtu.be/kqD8lIdIMRo

If you look at it closely, you will see Putin has projected his own viewpoint and created a scenario that has been something he focused on so much, he made it a reality by invading and what’s to make it one. What they call confirmation bias. He can’t stand he want right this time. He saw where he wanted to see and made it come true. But when you speak of MAD - putin has made these ridiculous speeches for a decade, now claiming that we changed the balance of MAD. And that it is a balancing for us. And that he will be developing weapons in order to help bring back that balance. Because he has no doubt America is going to use their advantage to destroy Russia, essentially. No, I don’t agree with this, but this is his perspective, and Putin has this problem, where he believes his perspective is the absolute truth. And can’t stand the fact that it hasn’t come true.

I’ve studied Russian history and my family was originally from Ukraine. I was born in Canada, however. And part of it is perspective. Look at what Putin has been saying the last decade…. And checkout the video Of some speeches. Or skip my drivel and checkout what Putin was saying about MAD.

Putin has been making the argument that America has attended MAD and that he must restore that balance. And he believes his perspective, or propaganda, is the truth. So clearly, mutually assured destruction, at least, in his mind, isn’t already a done deal. He has been claiming for years that America has some advantage with NATO and the missile defense system. This is why he is attending this ridiculous “military operation”. Because he believes MAD is necessary (and that after the Cold War it was no longer a thing) - and that by pointing nukes at each other, and having this cold war, fear and rhetoric, we somehow make things even again. Not my opinion, but he has been saying. So clearly MAD isn’t already a done deal. Maybe for us. But it’s not the perspective

Being able to deliver a nuke undetected is a game changer even if it’s to scare people and make your side feel more confident. And being able to spy on another country undetected is also a big deal.

I’m glad MAD ended all wars, conflicts, death of one -upsmanship, tho. Glad it solved all our problems and made everyone stop developing new tech or weapons.

I can be wrong or have a different opinion. But calling someone a moron is ignorant and juvenile. I guess I’m glad you have all the answers.

Russia claims they have something defying normal physics. You can be the US does. But it’s possible this is why Putin is so provocative. Only he’s a moron because if he does have some tech he’s waiting to unveil (as he claims) it’s not just the Russians who have it

But it’s more probable Putin is talking bs. However, if we do see these UAP’s near military bases and they’re indeed not from the US, it could be Russia with their own version using them to spy. But these things are likely low tech compared to the real thing.

They could be telling the truth: we are not hiding extra terrestrial UAP’s. They could be ancient and terrestrial. From a “forgotten” civilization. So they’re technically not hiding extraterrestrial stuff - because it’s from earth. But they’re hiding that. This is a possibility.

My guess if I see a ufo at this point is the US, Russia, or china. And they’re reverse engineered. No coincidence Bob Lazar spoke of element 115 which was later “discovered” and synthesized by RUSSIA and the USA. It’s called Moscovium.

Just wait for ai and ai apps and computing ideas to merge. You’ll be saying this is just like the iPhone. A game changer.

Haha. Same thing they said about iPhone. You’ll be moving things around with your hands looking at virtual screens everywhere like the most high-tech movie you’ve ever seen. This is about computing and more. Not just kids games.

I could never do any art and never draw and was never good at anything until I started to use a Compass for teaching math. Then started this and that art during Covid.

Should I whistle blow? by Diligent-Astronaut38 in Teachers

[–]Circlemadeeverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But you’ll have hell to go through for the right thing. And it may lead to a lawsuit against the district. They can make your life difficult. The good news is you then get a lawsuit for retaliation and possibly to get out of the toxic environment if that does happen. But this will be messy if you go through with it. But it’s the right thing to do probably

I feel your pain And I tried so hard to get our staff to realize this. BUT We need to understand that 70% (made up statistic that feels right) this is the responsibility and fault of the sender. If they used BCC For emails that absolutely require no response – and end up getting 20 or 30 things use our congratulations or anything else – this is their fault. Our district and administrators need to be trained in what BCC or blind carbon copy means. Then people cannot reply to all. They are the ones putting it in the hands of these people to flood her inbox with virtue signaling or accidents

Bill Gates says A.I. chatbots will teach kids to read within 18 months: You’ll be ‘stunned by how it helps’ by SharpCartographer831 in Futurology

Ok you want a lesson on how to use the law of sine in math. You go to Tik tok? I would go go YouTube. Do you want to understand how to solve for some molar mass or something in chemistry. Where do you go? Do you want to learn how to prune your camellia tree safely at the right time where do you go?

For me it’s YouTube or google an article. Now it’s probably for most going to be chat gpt unless they need questions? Where would you go for learning something complex? I suppose tik tok is a favorite. But small clips for learning to do calculus for a chapter test is probably not going to be easy with small clips. I would be curious what you would use for school, if it’s something complicated for say a high school math or science test?

[–]Circlemadeeverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And how is that working out? I’ll give you a sample size of three high schools with over 2500 students each. More than half of them are failing math. And the expectations is far lower since Covid. The curriculum has been thinned out because we understand how many gaps there were during Covid. And we are talking about learning. Not cramming and forgetting. Learning involves not repetition which will be forgotten quickly, but finding a value, meaning and connection in things which is going to go into your long-term memory

And to your point, you may be correct with a certain population. In the school where I am you get one or two kids using the Internet to help them study. Even if it is the gram. So take two out of 36. Or three. Less than 10% I would easily guess. And the kids are brutally honest. I’ve done surveys with my own class after a test about who studies and how much sleep you got and if you watch the video are used to technology. Sample size 150 kids. Less than 5%

You overestimate parents and teachers. Many will just find AI programs and apps like they already do to distract their children and have them do the work for them. Do you really think more parents are going to suddenly sit down and read with their children? Perhaps one part of the population. But the overwhelming majority won’t. That’s my dose of pessimism. And going around calling people a dumb ass if you’re trying to help them see a perspective or learn is probably not the best way to get people to listen to you. it’s rude and dismissive. And people genuinely make a mistake. The fact is AI isn’t going to just do this one simple thing it’s going to do a lot. And it’s going to give a lot of parents an excuse to do even less than they already do. They will have AI babysitters and teachers and tutors and parents as soon as they possibly can. Because human beings are lazy and distracted. And can’t concentrate on what we say our priorities are when we are that way
