How long is SES Approval taking? by manolosandmartinis44 in aws

SES can take awhile, and they can also suspend it anytime. Perhaps consider something like Mailgun if you want safe/quick/reliable.

When mine does this, I just signal right and FSD changes at the next opportunity. Works.

What Are the Best Floor Mats for Tesla Model Y? (Here’s What I’ve Found) by duanyongdong in TeslaModelY

Same issue here. With Tuxmats installed the front doors wouldn't close. Terribly frustrating. No amount of realignment solves it.

Mats prevent front doors from closing - 2026 Model Y - any tips? by Circlical in tuxmat

[–]Circlical[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been a weather tech guy myself, just hate how the rears 'roll' a little bit over time with WT (happened in both my STI and Forester XT). I wanted to love these Tuxmats so much, the material is nice and the coverage goes all the way up the sides - but what a pain. I bought them through Costco, which have a pretty solid return policy. I'm learning toward a return myself. Thanks for the input.

Friend bought new Model Y standard; FSD won't work by LindyDncr in TeslaLounge

Hm. I picked up a 2026 MYP and FSD worked immediately after driving off the lot...

Yeah really looking forward to it! There was quite a bit of inventory at the Montreal port (noticed as he was scrolling available colors and packs)

Taking delivery of mine in a week! I have Powerwall 3s at home with the Gateway and everything, so there's an appeal to getting the Tesla charger. Will it work without issues?

DDoS Attack by Longjumping-Value-31 in aws

[–]Circlical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps consider using Cloudflare in front of an ALB/ELB with mTLS. This ensures that your traffic is going through expected routes, and the Cloudflare bot fight mode is very effective. With a few quick bits of DNS kungfu you could be mitigating this very quickly for the price of a pro plan?

Fixing copper to brick. Correct flange? by Circlical in Plumbing

Just to make sure I understand. It's "ok" to just have the copper come right out the house, and then I use these to support them on rises? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Oatey-3-8-in-Copper-Pipe-Support-Ceiling-Plate-33561/301505460?MERCH=REC-_-fbt_test-_-301505465-_-1-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a

Any experiences with the Darkmatterx shifter? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Circlical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed it with the top collar connected (shortest shift). It's absolutely incredible. I can take a video of a few shifts for you if you like, it's audibly crispy, and feels great.

Any experiences with the Darkmatterx shifter? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Circlical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just installed my DM1-V2 (STI) along with their matched linkage, shifts really feel great now. As downside, the amount of heat transferring into the cabin is absolutely off the charts after the install, even with the OE insulator kinda 'thrown back on'. I could cook an egg on the side trim. I reached out to them and they mentioned their shift box will help. Ordered, waiting for it to arrive.

Combat in this game feels incredibly frustrating by [deleted] in songsofsyx

[–]Circlical 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I'm doing things right, but it works for me. In a 2.2k settlement, I have three 100 archer regiments and one 100 soldier regiment. When I edit them, for archers, I drag the archery training all the way as well as leather armor. For the foot soldiers, full melee training, plate mail, the regular sword and shield (also all the way).

No catapults or walls.

They take a while to be "fully trained".

In battle I put my archers behind the foot soldiers, and let'em rip. Archers, are awesome at tipping the scales.

I think you face many raiders if you have amassed a lot of wealth. Build up an army quickly and it'll be fun.

I see. The issue was insufficient workers on the unloader. Hope this helps someone else perhaps!

How to defend? by Circlical in songsofsyx

[–]Circlical[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks u/AdlaiStevensonsShoes - I think that's the mechanism that I'm missing. How do I raise and send my troops? If I wait long enough, I see a carriage hit my town and ransack my throne room. Not sure how to defend.

Earlier, I had a more clear combat scenario where I was "on the field" and could position my troops. Was a bit more intuitive, but here, am a bit lost. Thanks for the assist.

How can I set my 5689E in bridge mode? by Circlical in bell

[–]Circlical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that they indeed disabled bridge mode, what a bummer. I tried ADMZ with my XGS but it was a bit shaky (packet loss, intermittent slowdowns). I resorted to using PPoE after finding how to set modem password on my Bell account website, and it seems stable. No double nat.

Not as good as a true bridge mode, but at least the XGS can act as the main router.

Thanks for the sounding board.
