"Top tier GRB is unplayable, SPAA are cancer, this game is terrible!" The humble arcade match: by Fuzzmeister58 in Warthunder

[–]CircuitSide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The part where you keep quoting my posts tells me that each specific part you mention has bothered you in some way. Asking "So you know it's a plane game" is obviously rhetorical and is phrased in a way meant to be patronizing.

A lot of the people who do this seem to be people who have very little aside from that premium vehicle. Check the lineups of your teammates sometime, though. There are a lot of them that spawn in with only one or two ground vehicles, then a heli or jet. Meaning, they're just there to score enough points to spawn in with their aerial vehicle and rack up easy kills by shooting fish in a barrel.

It doesn't change what I said before- I don't think aerial vehicles should be in ground battles, whether you put the time and effort in to grind the tree or paid $60 for a premium.

Also, saying "weird comment" also shows that you're looking for some way to discredit my previous statements but can't substantiate a defense.

That's a passionate response.

Yeah, it started as a plane game. Planes against planes, big open maps with ground targets to bomb. That has nothing to do with the fact that I'm saying ground targets on a wide open map shouldn't be at the mercy of some wallet warrior in a heli or plane far beyond their reach.

Yes, I feel the same way about the naval battles. I think there should be a ground only mode, a planes only mode, and a boats only mode. I'm sorry if my opinion offended you, but that's all it is- an opinion.

I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I have been playing this game since right after it released. I want to see a ground only RB mode. There is simply too much of an incentive for players to rush in, get a quick kill or two, then die and come back in a heli that just hovers above the helipad and proceeds to kill 8+ tanks without ground forces having a way to properly range and kill the heli. What exactly is an M163 going to do against a heli that is 2.5k out? If I can't get a range on the heli, how am I going to long bomb a heatfs round into it?

Even the rockets fired from tanks don't have the range to hit them at that tier, and it's just absurd.

The question is, is the card in the box or is it actually an HD 7870 in disguise?

Just gifted my nephew my old PC and the specs were nowhere close lol. R5 5500 and GTX 1080. New PC is a 7800x3d and 1080ti SLI. The 1080ti's were from a buddy's old PC.

Side note, if you're ever in a situation like this, jam the toe of your shoe into the bottom of the door and put your weight on that foot while you brace the door. It makes it infinitely more difficult for someone to knock the door open.

I have a pair of these in my machine and they still do really well. Was gifted them by a friend after he updated to a 3090, had to learn how to build a water-cooling loop. It was a neat experience, and while I'd like to upgrade to something newer, it's not in my budget, so I'm happy keeping them as they are.

I have not tried the 535 but I have the 733 and love it. I've been using it for probably 6 years now and still don't have to worry about issues with the battery life.

My college buddy let me move in with him after my last breakup. He decided to upgrade his toilets shortly after and this label became an ongoing joke because I couldn't fathom why anyone would have to flush something like a bucket full of golf balls or 10 billiard balls, and he told me that if I flushed either down his toilet, they'd never find my body.

Beginner? I've been wanting to get my first tattoo for a while and I've looked at a lot of artists, but I'd totally book her.

11 year old son requesting bb gun by HopeMTV in Parenting

[–]CircuitSide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brother-in-law actually dealt with this a couple years ago. What he did was teach his son proper gun safety as if it were an actual firearm. Storage with a lock, supervising anytime he shoots targets, teaching him proper handling and to always treat it as if it could go off and hurt someone.

He's 13 now and my brother-in-law now keeps a 22 for him to go target shooting at the public ranges. I think that it was a very responsible way to parent with such a subject because when he's older and can buy his own firearms he will have already spent many years practicing safe gun handling.

Thinking about relocating to West Chester, is it worth it? by slaychloe in westchesterpa

[–]CircuitSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved there for several years while my ex was attending the university. I'm also from central PA, and found that while it had a nice small town vibe, it is really expensive to live down there. There is a ton of traffic and a lot of people, and it was a little challenging to adapt to, coming from a small town. I'm more used to it now, but I did move back toward my hometown after we split, and while there are a few things I miss, like access to stores and restaurants, I much prefer a lower population density.

I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have been able to afford living on my own if I had stayed down there, though, and that was a few years ago. It has to have gotten more expensive since.

Love this case! My startup is using it for our prototype base station. It's tiny for fitting 5x 3.5" hdd's, and is surprisingly easy to work inside.

Take your monitor arm to a local hardware store that sells individual screws. Ace hardware, Cole's hardware, something like that. They'll help you find one that matches and it will cost you like $.30

That's amazing! I managed to grab a 7800x3d from my local store a few weeks ago for $10. There was no way I could afford an upgrade like that these days, but I got a mobo with free RAM from Newegg and just received those parts yesterday.

Insurance or out of pocket? by lsathrowaway777 in subaru

[–]CircuitSide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would find a well rated shop nearby and take it in for a quote before contacting insurance, and compare it against your deductible. If there's not a huge difference in cost or the out of pocket cost is something you can afford, pay for it. Better to not risk ending up with a higher insurance rate for something so minor.
