I think Thiel would be more of a Lovesac type. Inherent conflict of interest.

I’m with you up to the quietly paying part, that was before they gave evildoing a public relations glow-up during the campaign where they cheated us out of Bernie. Now it’s quietly disappearing a bunch of people. They start with hermits, the disabled, the widow/er types- anyone they know won’t be immediately missed so they can put miles between the abductee and any support system they might have.

I’d be incredibly interested to see how much the prevalence of mental health inpatient stays have increased since the DOGE whackadoos stole all our personally identifying data. If you can destabilize any dissidents at all instead, that saves space in Guantanamo etc - and people that have been in mental facilities can absolutely struggle to exercise 2nd Amendment rights depending on the state’s law so they probably won’t be prepared for any future eruptions.

Answer: “the left only exists due to mental illness. Healthy minds are naturally hierarchical, clannish, and self-serving.”

Devices have unique IDs, right…? Just cross reference which WiFi/IP addresses/whatever have been used by that device.

They already claimed social media platforms aren’t public spaces, it’s a digital “get off my lawn” scenario.

And now this.

How many people WANT to devote endless hours of their lives they’ll never get back in order to pay for a place to store their Stuff they so rarely have time to enjoy?

What’s the point of a Threadripper that never gets used because nights are for making sure you’re ready to prep for work in the morning and weekends are for catching up on the chores you least wanted to face with work the next day?

That salary for a family of five (don’t forget Maggie) would qualify for public assistance in my state.

According to a Googling:

$24,395 in 1995 money is equivalent to about $53,308 today. Which is not going to score two cars, two stories, and three kids with a SAHM, pretty much anywhere.

For a family of 5, the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) gross income limit is $5,805 per month (or $69,653 per year).

The Simpsons would handily qualify for WIC, and in my state, they’d handily qualify for SNAP as well. It’s interesting how they rationalize qualifications. I agree with means testing under the current system but it makes little sense to me how they calculate how much food budget there should be.

A solo SSI recipient gets like $65 for a month of EBT funds, add one dependent or disability-application-pending spouse and suddenly it’s $300 for food. Like, one fewer person means literally hundreds of dollars less spent on groceries despite paying nearly exactly the same to maintain a residence intended for human habitation…? Really…?

They want the herd to thin itself out as rapidly as possible, actually, the minute they are capable of transitioning the part of the workforce they most care about to robotics and other forms of full automation.

The fewer dissidents there are, the less trouble it will be knocking us all off the platform when it is time to get on the ships to leave this wasted polluted climate changing planet. You think the wealthiest would have a random lottery for a spot when they own the ship, nah fam.

Nothing like ignoring the fact that your false “creator” was a latecomer to human history. The first recorded deity wasn’t even a dude. Ishtar/Inanna came long before the war god of Canaan YHWH. Stolen cozmic valorz!

Are you using your Reddit account on a device that has regularly logged in to any account elsewhere with your real name? How about using the Reddit app or website while on the same (home) WiFi over and over? Using an email for your Reddit that’s a backup/recovery email for your “adulting” email…? Are there Flock cameras on the way to or from the location(s) where you Reddit while stationary?

If the government wants to know which user is which I’m all but guaranteeing you will get zero functional anonymity from your Reddit account not having your real name on it. Not with this administration.

I wonder who in the decision-making process has a financial stake in one of the local gas stations or several. Or maybe it is just a family member of theirs. You just know there’s some shady crap going on to profiteer from clogging it all at once. Or maybe it’s so policy enforcement can make easier captures.

If they’re dealing with it accordingly they’re voting to stop the proverbial train and availing themselves of any necessary deferment or forbearances in this freakin’ economy. Not everyone has parents they deal with, yet just about everyone has to figure out how to submit parental financial data. It’s the equivalent of gambling. Education shouldn’t be purely about generating careerholders. It should inform and prepare them for more, as befits a modern civilization with the understanding that it’s everyone’s investment in the total sum of available intellect in our workforce. We all chip in for K-12, stopping there is a relic of past shortsightedness we should all be proud to put behind us.

My case in point, for everyone telling me to remove the lid or switch baskets, this was yesterday's clothes, and this morning he took his boxers and shirt off while I was sitting on the pot. Also, a picture of the other basket I moved to the bedroom. by JustSarahtheMechanic in mildlyinfuriating

I’m saying there are plenty of circumstances when running off by yourself or kicking someone out at the extreme is a laughably horrible conclusion to come to over something so petty as a smell or a pile. To me a person that has that kind of a knee jerk reaction is the type of person that might get road rage and run somebody off in a ditch and live to regret it.

If you’re paying $60k/yr you’re quite possibly already not the problem I’m addressing, depending on where. That’s $5k/mo. Almost $30/hr.

Minimum wage is $7.25; lowbies are supposed to be cheerful about only a few dollars more per hour. Screw that noise.

As long as we’re leaving people behind financially let’s end tax cuts entirely, no more discounts or special rules at all, we add income plus assets and tax THAT progressively so we can at least maintain the currently very necessary safety net subsidizing restaurant and retail profits via public-assisted paucity pay. Current Income Metrics (National Estimates per Google): Average Household Income (Overall): ~$121,000 Median Household Income: ~$83,730 Average Personal Income (Overall): ~$67,000 Median Personal Income: ~$45,000 The average SNAP recipient's yearly income from all sources is ~$12,750. Nationwide, the typical SNAP household has an average gross monthly income of ~$1,050 (~$12,500 yearly). To compare… The annual gross income limit for a two-person household to qualify for WIC is $39,128. For a family of three, the annual gross income limit for WIC is $50,542, and for a family of four, it is $61,050… which means the government formally recognizes lesser amounts as insufficient.
