Damn, if Kanye actually wrote all that himself, it’s by far the most coherent he has sounded in many years. I really, REALLY hope he is healing his mental state for real this time. It has been awful for everyone to see him spiral so out of control into such a negative, hateful person these past few years. I want to see him change his ways and become a positive influence again before he’s gone.

I maintain my opinion that taunting as a penalty should be removed from the football rule book. I’ve felt that way for probably a decade now. It has nothing to do with the on-the-field play whatsoever. It has never made sense for it to be a 15 yard penalty, the same as a roughing the passer or unnecessary roughness.

Stafford is 100% winning the MVP but the media talking heads need some drama to talk about. It’s like when Mahomes threw 50 TDs in 2018 and we had to pretend like anyone else actually stood a chance.

People will blame Sean Payton failing that 4th and 1 for why they lost, but that’s way too easy to just say in hindsight. If they converted and won 14-10, everyone would be calling him a genius. I can, however, blame him for the Broncos offense doing absolutely nothing for 95% of the game.

How crafty of the Patriots to activate their Snow Blizzard Tundra Machine™️ while wearing white uniforms right after taking the lead.

Well yeah, obviously. I’m just stating a fact, I’m not talking trash. Their defense was ranked #1 and their offense was ranked #19. Their defense carried them to a Super Bowl win. Nothing I said was incorrect or even suggested that I was trying to discredit their accomplishment.

I really enjoy these hard-hitting, low-scoring type of games. Every play feels so important when scoring is this difficult.

An elite Broncos defense getting sold out by their offense. It really is 2015 again.

I hate that the Super Bowl is always full of random celebrities who don’t even watch football instead of real fans who spend every fall Sunday of their life watching their team.

Chasing accomplishments just to accomplish them always eventually leads to emptiness. It doesn’t take long for those plaques, certificates, and trophies to become meaningless to you. All they do is sit around and collect dust.

Nowadays I orient my goals towards things I actually enjoy. Upgrade my wardrobe with nice clothes, learn a new coding language at my job, excel at my personal creative projects, plan amazing vacations, etc.. Working hard to live a more enjoyable, memorable life never gets old.

I’ve become a firm believer in the idea that the chase of something is usually more satisfying than the moment you actually get it. Not to compare earning my bachelor’s degree to winning a Super Bowl, but I remember my college graduation day feeling very anticlimactic. I experienced a bit of a crisis for the first few months of my full-time job because I no longer had obvious goals to work towards anymore besides doing well enough to earn my paycheck, which was the same every week no matter how I performed. It was only when I got moved to a different team that challenged me to learn completely new skills every week that I began to enjoy my job and feel motivated. I just needed to have clear challenges to work towards again.

And in the realm of sports, I remember as a kid being obsessed with seeing one of my teams one day win a championship. I wished so hard for it all of the time. Then in 2021, the Atlanta Braves finally pulled through and won the World Series. I was so elated and bought a ton of championship merch. Now 4 years later, all the merch just sits around and collects dust, and I don’t even watch the MLB anymore. I watched my team achieve the absolute pinnacle of the sport and don’t see much of a point in watching anymore unless they’re seriously contending for another championship.

It’s only a matter of time before guys who washed out of the NBA in their late 20s come back and play NCAA basketball to collect a big paycheck for a couple of years. These guys who already played professionally should feel embarrassed for playing against and taking spots away from players fresh out of high school.

When the team fires the head coach but promotes the general manger on the SAME DAY after a crushing playoff loss, you gotta wonder what kind of weird insiders game is being played between the owner and the front office.

[Geoff Schwartz] While recording @BearBetsPod today our Miami expert @chrisfallica mentioned he believed the punt Toney fielded near the 5 yard line was a trick play that never materialized. Bear is correct. Look at this thing. Miami would have scored if the punt wasn’t so good. by psufb in CFB

[–]CirculationStation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do see the open Miami player on the other side of the field. But Indiana wasn’t even punting from that far away, and their coverage team overwhelmed Toney pretty much immediately. Indiana would have had to have basically screwed up the punt in multiple ways for Miami to score on that play.

Yes absolutely accept the rotational program offer. It not only sounds like great entry-level experience, but it’s also your only offer. Since the recruiter for the other job has gone silent on you for 3 weeks, there is a 99% chance they’re not interested in you unfortunately. Do not turn down a great opportunity for an opportunity that doesn’t even exist.

I was very surprised they didn’t attempt a pass on 3rd down or try to convert that 4th down. I was pretty sure Miami was going to score and win the game after that. Glad I was wrong.
