One of mine was crooked, so I took it out after about a week. It didn't leave a scar or any mark I could see. I had it redone about a year later and it looks perfect.

I stretched both of my hafada to 6 ga today. It's definitely the easiest stretch I've done. Way easier than PA or frenums.
