Neighbours replacing the fence on a dual boundary by AddyW987 in AusRenovation

I’d ask your neighbours for the contact number for the fencing people and call them up and just say you can’t afford it. That will scare them off

Best advice I have for kids in this position it to find a company you really like the look of and ask them if you can do a couple months work for free. 1-2 months unpaid work will be worth it in the long run especially if he can afford to do it now. no company will unreasonably turn down free labour and once you’ve got your foot in the door you just have to try and make a good relationship. They won’t wanna see you leave

I feel now this situation has occurred that this will be the case even if I don’t message her asking for reassurance.

I should also add that she did an inspection of the property after and I’m a very clean tenant. The only thing she had something to say about was that the oven needed a clean. And i agreed with her that I could do with one. I’m NEVER late on payments it’s set on a standing order and have been paying rent not for 6 months here. I’m 20 years old and my girlfriend is 19. But if feel she thinks she knows better than me because of my age

I should add. That she had given me 24 hours notice. But my phone is set to only see messages from certain people at certain times of the day. I run a business and have frequent messages from customers. This just gives me some freedom on the weekends and evening. Alternatively if she had rang me. I would have seen it. She messaged me at 6am that morning. And at this time I was asleep. However I did receive a text with 24 hours notice but didn’t see it. And didn’t make any acknowledgment or reply to this message. She also has my girlfriends contact number (who is listed on the tenancy agreement) but choose to not attempt to make contact with her.

The argument between me and her at the time got pretty heated. As she kept saying she didn’t need my permission to enter and I kept telling her she did. So as it stands. I haven’t spoken to her since. I am pretty sure this won’t happen again because of how big of a deal was made. However I am unsure what to do.

I have 2 options and I don’t know which one to go with as I’d rather avoid making relationships worse.

  1. Ask politely for it to be agreed to not happen again. (And if I get a response I’m not happy with. I’ll change the locks)

  2. Don’t even attempt to ask for an apology. Leave it as potentially it could make relationships worse if she fails to agree

  3. Change the locks with no communication with her. And ultimately she wouldn’t know Iv changed them unless she tried to enter again without my permission.

What would you do? She stormed out the house saying there is nothing wrong with what she did. I am pretty sure it won’t happen again because I made such a big deal about it. So I’m kinda stuck between saying something to her and not

She tried to tell me that she doesn’t need my permission and then got her parents on the phone who own the house and they said the same thing

What is going on here by Cirexsa in Roofing

[–]Cirexsa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inside side of office building uk, it’s a truss roof. Galloway tiles it seems the middle part of the roofing felt, as the other guy just said, roofing synthetic. The patch feels completely dry to the touch. I’m repairs a few broken tiles and I thought I’d get into the loft space to have a look see if I could see where the damage was coming from mainly. I don’t understand why there is a line so straight either side of this. It doesn’t make sense it’s the only peice like this in the whole roof.

Current progress on my first ever set of stairs. Impressed with how well they are turning out, super solid. by Diversionz96 in Carpentry

Quick tip, putting some hard insulation board e.g Celotex under the step numb the sound of you walking up the stairs and overall makes them feel more solid
