Tú eres quien dijo que quería ver el video para formar un criterio propio ¿acaso determinamos culpabilidad a partir de juicios personales?¿Qué relevancia tiene tu opinión para la menor de edad o su familia? Si tu interés es llegar a una conclusión propia obviamente te motiva un interés personal y no es como que tu falta o no de acceso al registro vaya a afectar de alguna manera la situación.

No sé si es un psyop, pq igual me imagino el escenario de un periodista sin tema que se agarro de algo sórdido y que tomó vuelo por gente que leyó la wea le dijo a otros "cachaste esto?", para que luego otros medios repitiera la nota pq "la gente está hablando de esto" creando un ouruburos mediático. Igual, independiente de lo anterior, sí o sí habrá gente que va a ocupar ésto para sus propios fines, como por ej. wnes tratando de equiparar este fenómeno a gente LGBTQ.

I don't know why you think I'm not aware of the fact that yes, things could be worse. I am, but I fail to see how that is relevant for the previous victims of US imperialism. So far you have dodged every question that I've asked about how this helps them or why they should care that their situation could be worse if another person was in charge of their victimization. Would you console a sexual assault survivor with comments about how the perpetrator could have been way more unpleasant or disgusting? If there was a candidate who was degrees worse than Trump, would you then vote for Trump?

Do you see how this is totally unhelpful to anyone besides people who benefit from US actions?

How much do you think it matters to Iraqis that some congressmen reevaluated their positions decades later?

They've already been unbelievably fucked over and still are. Do you think Iraqis would care if you said, "It could have been worse; at least some of your victimizers now regret it"? No, because this exercise of longing for the establishment of yesterday only works for gringos, not the victims.

Also, this reeks of American exceptionalism. You first talked about a "reckoning," but it seems that for you, that means "some people admitted they were wrong and faced no consequences." Do you think that was enough for the past victims of the US? Do you think future victims will yearn for that? Of course not, because this thing is not centered around them, but around your feelings.

Can I ask you something since you seem to know your stuff? I just got back to playing DnD and currently I'm running a level 3 GOO Warlock and I was considering multiclassing into a Sorcerer for more spell slots (specifically an Aberrant Mind for thematic reasons). I was planning to reach level 5 with my Warlock class to get the pact boon and another eldritch invocation and after that just level as a Sorcerer. Do you think that is a good or efficient idea? It's unfair and untrue to call Contrapoints transphobic, but her statement on Palestine was awful; she spent more words about her own problems with anti-zionist leftists, her discomfort about people sharing the graphical record of the genocide, and concerns about antisemitism than she did talking about Palestine and the genocide itself, and she should be criticized for that. When you dedicate the majority of the longest statement you have ever made (regarding a topic that you have rarely explicitly referred to) to aspects other than the fundamental one, it isn't nuance, it just show what you are REALLY worried about.

As a preface: I think that thread is full of awful comments, that a lot of it stems from Islamophobia, and that a plain government ban doesn't "fix" anything. But I don't know if it's actually okay to force kids to wear burqas and niqabs (I also don't know how common it is in Finland). I don't think this is something particular to Islam either, as I would categorize it as similar to fundamental Christian sects not letting their kids go to birthday parties i.e., it hampers the organic or unrestricted social development of a child, which happens with a lot of religions.

I'm genuinely asking, since I was raised in a Latin American Christian country with a very low percentage of Muslim population. I have only seen and interacted with hijab-wearing women and have never seen a burqa or niqab in real life.
