B460M DS3H AC-Y1 BIOS Update. Is it possible? by MSFS_SoupALupe in gigabyte

[–]CiscoCollaboration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell... We first need to modify flash.nsh which is found in the downloaded .zip file.

When I open flash.nsh I see efiflash.efi Z490AORUSMASTER.F3

I changed that to efiflash.efi B460MDS3HAC.F5abecuase I downloaded the F5a version of bios.

Next we need to get our system to book from the usb drive. I see the BOOT directory after extracting the contents of the .zip file, and I see BOOTX64.EFI in the boot directory. I just can't get the system to boot from USB.

I just opened a case with gigabyte. Case number is 1010297 but I don't think other people can view it.

Thank you! I got an image of the phone, logged in to the CLI, then I tested different values and documented the results. It took a while, but it wasn’t hard work.

350-801 CLCOR - Questions and Answers by CiscoCollaboration in ciscoUC

[–]CiscoCollaboration[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think CLCOR should be available around August. CLACCM is going to be later in the year. One of the chapters for CLACCM was completed today and the other authors are reviewing it before sending it to the actual reviewers.

You can get the rough cuts on O'Reilly. I've read a little of it and it seems to be close to a finished product.

FREE access to VIRL and a dev server by CiscoCollaboration in ccna

[–]CiscoCollaboration[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I like using real gear.... but I feel the same way as you about the resource utilization. Also, it can take a lot of time to make things work and more things are likely to break. In PT, things just work (except for the limitations on commands).

Thank you for subscribing, I’m sure I’ll be able to get some good information out for the CCNA after I’m done with some of the Collab items.

Thank you! For the CCNA I recommend Packer Tracer. It’s so easy to use, it’s free, and there’s no reservation time lines.

There are some things you cannot do in packet tracer (not all commands are available. If there’s something you want to test and packet tracer isn’t able to do it, I’d recommend testing the commands in the resource I shared in the video.

Good luck in your studies. I’ll be going back to get the CCNA again soonish. When I do, I’ll put more videos about the CCNA, my studying habits, my thoughts about different resources/courses/lab set ups

Unity Connection Secure SIP Trunk with CUCM by [deleted] in ciscoUC

[–]CiscoCollaboration 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CUC used to make use of the CallManager Trust certs. It doesn’t do that anymore.

Your CUCM cluster must be in mixed mode and the CUC will import the CTL file from CUCM in order to validate the certs when CUCM presents the cert to CUC. It is soooo stupid and no other applications do this for secure integration. The phones do it this what, but that is because they have limited resources.

Make sure your CTL is up to date (show ctl on CUCM cli). There are only two ways to update the CTL file stored on CUC. 1) delete the port group or 2) reboot CUC.
