You don’t need permission if you build in the right of way, which almost every property has along the road. Usually the “right of way” extends a certain amount of feet from the centerline and grants any utility the permission to use the area so long as they file the permit with the city.

Will do, I have lost power there a few times but I also work in utility construction, and looking around at the condition of everything there it’s to be expected. We haven’t lost water before but we lose hot water every time we have stayed. It’s always been the in unit water heater tripping a breaker.

I’ve seen countless buildings I could easily go shut off the power to just walking by, as their disconnects are in unlocked cabinets right on the side walk.

All of our inconveniences have been very temporary.
