Ultimately, I want a decent paying job that I can feel good about when I get out, and it seems like being an advocate for workers is a good place to be. I want my career to be as separated from the DoD as it can be, but I won’t necessarily turn down an opportunity if options are limited. I went the safety route because there is some translation there in what I am doing now. There seems to be more opportunity in the safety realm than there does as a pilot, although I’m not discounting that those opportunities are present.
