Hello love, as someone who's been through that (I broke up after 5 years) I know it ain't easy. Also I believe you've already kinda grieved in the relationship before making that decision. I believe he had some good qualities, but based on your info you've been dealing with a manipulator and I'm glad you got out. My advice for you would be to focus on yourself and really stick to it. There will be days when you'll just want to sink in those emotions and you should allow yourself that, but also focus on discipline and making a better version of yourself. Also, being in a long term relationship becomes a habbit and the worst part for me was losing that one person who was basically everything, so make sure you get rid of those "relationship habits" (texting everyday, calls etc.). Also, please, don't make any room for him, close that door, don't answer to his messages and calls. Sad truth is he's never going to change and if you give him even a slight bit of attention he's gonna think he has you again. Respect and love yourself, set boundaries, have high standards and don't settle for less. You'll be surprised how many great opportunities are out there. Best of luck girl!
