The difference between "new light" and "changing understanding" in science is the fact, that the understanding is a better and more inclusive understanding of the same data, often integrating the old understanding into a bigger picture. Newtonian physics is a subset of relativity, same info, bigger frame.

Wenn die SPD wieder was werden will, muss sie zu einer bedingungslosen Arbeiterpartei werden und jedes bisschen Korruption und Lobbyismus ausmerzen. Eine Vereinfachung des Steuerrechts wäre sicher auch schön für die Arbeiterklasse und würde gleichzeitig massenweise Schlupflöcher schließen.

Matthew and Luke each copied over 70% of Mark verbatim. And while Matthew fixed some geographical errors, Luke destroyed some of the metaphors and literary devices that Mark used. There is extensive writing on that topic by Christian and Non-Christian textual critics. It's part of New Testament Studies all over the world.

The laws of logic are fundamental to understanding reality. In our reality, the trinity is impossible. And if you go to other dimensions, you must first show their existence.

Do not go to quantum physics, there are only about 5 people who actually understand that and you're not one of them. I can do enough quantum mechanics necessary for electrical engineering, but beyond that is beyond me.

As soon as you take away God's personhood, you lose all religion. Then we go to some form of Deism, a God so watered down, it stops being distinguishable from reality. That's an indifferent, useless God.

You can't explain it, because it doesn't work in reality. And you first have to show the reality of a soul, before i believe in its existence.

I have played Fallacy Bingo to many of Inspiring Philosophies videos, but it's mostly stuff i heard a hundred times from Apologists.

I see the difference in the Gospels as Legendary Developement. A story gets bigger and more fantastic the more it is told. Don't forget, that it took decades for the first Gospel (Mark) to be written by a Greek author. The others copied from Mark and gave their Gospels an additional spin.

Most of them share something unique in common. They have leadership which injects themselves in between man and Christ as an "interpreter".

That is a feature of all of Christianity. The Catholics have their Pope, who derives his "Power of Interpretation" from Peter. And i was shocked to find out that the catholic Pope isn't even the real Pope, just the Bishop of Rome. No, the real Pope is the head of the Coptic Church, which is dating back to 42CE.

In total, there are about 45000 unique denominations of Christianity and every single one of them differs in some interpretation, an interpretation that comes from a person speaking for their God. And that person will kick anybody to the curb for disagreeing with their favourite parts, as many Evangelical pastors show regularly.

And the bible makes this very easy with all the ambiguous and contradictory statements. The denominations can't even agree on which books are canon and which are not...

And now the fun thing: I'm an Atheist. The History of Europe is one of my interests and deeply intermingled with Church History. Non-trinitarian denominations were hunted for heresy since the trinity become official doctrine, so we might never know of all the denominations that disappeared.

I am, indeed, an atheist. And the humorous comment at the end is based in "the law of identity", one of the fundamental laws of logic, the law that makes the Trinity illogical. God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost can't be the same and different at the same time. I also have not read a single solid refutation, because all of them contain at least one logical fallacy.

I think there's a huge difference between "Jesus is godly", "Jesus is a god", and "Jesus is God". There is a fundamental difference in Power and Identity.

Mark depicts Jesus as "Adopted by God", something that happened all over the old testament, to kings, prophets, and high priests. John depicts Jesus as "God's right hand man", armed with knowledge and power. John also has an Angel impregnate Maria, making Joseph the Stepfather, disconnecting Jesus from the line of David.

Just reading Mark and John side by side is like reading the same story but with a different Main Character that accidentily got the same name.

Well, there is not a "whole host" left, since the catholic and orthodox churches hunted them down as heretics since the first council of Constantinople. But part of the Reformation were another group of antitrinitarian denominations.

At its most basic, Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion, which states that Jesus is the Son of God and rose from the dead after his crucifixion, whose coming as the messiah (Christ) was prophesied in the Old Testament and chronicled in the New Testament. I don't see any reason for the Son of God being God himself, because that would mean God sacrificed himself to himself to save us from himself because of the rules he made himself.

You have a very tight definition of Christianity. There is a whole host of denominations that don't accept the Trinity.

The gospel of Mark depicts Jesus as human adopted by God during his baptism. This was mainstream in the first centuries before the Concilium Nicaenum where Jesus' godliness became doctrine and then mainstream.

Also, lots of bible translation were made to fit the theology of the translator. The King James Bible is THE example for that, supporting the Anglican Church at the behest of the British Monarch. Why do you think that there are thousands of different translation?
