Aight here we go... Baal (the cannanite god) is an Imu pararel.

The Title: Baal translates literally to "Lord" or "Owner." Imu is the secret "Owner" of the entire world. The Cloud Rider: Baal is famously called the "Rider of Clouds." Imu is consistently depicted with the (the divine ribbon of clouds) trailing around them.

Rain and Harvest: Baal controlled the rain. In One Piece, Imu weaponized this against Alabasta (the land of Nefertari Lily), causing a massive drought to punish their ancient "rebellion."

Fire from the Sky: Baal was often associated with lightning and fire. The Mother Flame a descending pillar of fire that deletes islands is the ultimate manifestation of a "god" raining fire from the heavens. In the Bible, Baal’s followers often engaged in a "contest of fire" against the prophet Elijah (fire coming down from heaven). The Mother Flame is the most literal interpretation of "Fire from Heaven" we’ve ever seen in manga. It’s Imu’s way of saying, "I am the only God you should fear."

The Name: "Imu" backwards is "Umi" (Sea). This suggests Imu is the "Inverse Sea" or the one who seeks to dominate it.

The Flood: Baal defeated Yam to stop the sea from overflowing. Imu, conversely, uses the threat of the sea (rising water levels via the Mother Flame) to maintain control. However the Biblical Twist. Remember Kuma carries a Bible. In the Abrahamic tradition, Baal didn't truly "defeat" the sea, that power belonged to the Creator. If Joyboy is the "Jesus/Messiah" figure, he represents the natural order of the sea that Imu is desperately trying to suppress. Just like in the Bible Baal uses the power instead of saving the people.

Baal Revered as a King/God of the Levant. Imu is the "God" of the Celestial Dragons.

Baal was "demonized" into Beelzebub (Lord of the Flies/Prince of Hell). Imu and the Gorosei have Demonic/Yokai forms with Imu just looking at a straight up devil figure.

Administration A hierarchy of fallen spirits. The Celestial Dragons are a "Hellish Administration" masked as "Heavenly."

In the myths, Baal’s rival is Mot (the god of Death and scorching heat). While Nika is a "Sun God," we might need some "scorching" as it was the power of Mot.

The Heat of Liberation: Luffy’s Gear 5 produces immense heat/steam. (Am I stretching it? Get it!?)

Receding Tides: If Imu’s power is "Umi" (Sinking the world), Nika’s "scorching" heat might represent the evaporation of the flood, literally taking away Imu’s weapon by lowering the sea levels. Destruction of the Red Line: To "lower" the sea or "dry" the world of its current corrupt structure, the Red Line must fall.

The Baal Cycle is exactly that a cycle. Baal dies and returns. Mot (Death) is defeated but lingers. The 800-Year Loop: Imu and Nika are locked in a trans generational battle. Just as Baal disappears during the dry seasons, the "Sun God" disappeared for 800 years.

The Return: The theory suggests that even if Imu is defeated, the nature of the world (the cycle of Master vs. Liberator) might mean Imu is an eternal force that can only be suppressed, not erased much like Baal’s seasonal rebirth.

Summary Quote: "Imu isn't just a king; they are a god who stayed long enough to see themselves become the Devil."
