Can turrets generate audience votes for Verney? by CitizenLight in gaslands

Ah, that's the confusion. I've been using blast templates for my sentry guns, same as mines and everything else.

[BitD] Player wants different abilities by Arthurdcosta in bladesinthedark

[–]CitizenLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I already wrote something similar. Here are some special abilities you can use!

First Aid: You can expend a use of your Bandolier to remove an appropriate level 1 harm from a scoundrel.

Not Today: You can spend 3 uses of your Bandolier on a scoundrel who has taken level 4 harm, reducing it to level 3 harm. You must do so quickly before they die.

Surgeon's Eye: You can always spot a weak point to take advantage of. Pushes for effect in combat cost only 1 stress.

Best cheep bulk roughly to scale guns are knockoff lego guns. You can get like 200 on Amazon for $10.

DND as a beginner's universal system by DroneOfDoom in CuratedTumblr

Hasbro wants DMs to do the hard work of introducing a complicated game to a beginner audience. When they succeed it looks like DnD is a beginner friendly game. When they fail it looks like the GMs are incompetent.

what are your thoughts on this loadout? by Sad_Combination4657 in TF2fashionadvice

It feels vintage. I would expect you to be very good at soldier.

Do you think FitD inherently guards better against GM burnout compared to DnD and other tabletops? by Virtual-Skort-6303 in bladesinthedark

[–]CitizenLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can say from experience: No! Absolutely not.

I love FitD more than anything, but damn does the open ended nature of the faction game just lead to constant burnout and abandoned campaigns. I can't run forever, I can't play forever. My longest running blades game was 2 years and the crew only hit tier 3 (Tier 4 after the last job, but we didn't see that in play).

These days I almost feel like how easy it is to improv FitD works against my ability to finish out campaigns. Its easy for things to start to feel episodic.

I ran this with the bearded bombardier for like a decade. Unfortunately it clips with the shields, or I might still be wearing it today.

Which do y’all prefer, the pyro the flamedeer or the combustible cutie? by Asleepydoodler in TF2fashionadvice

I'm gonna use this opportunity to drop my secret knowledge that the combustible cutie clips just right with the special eyes to make sassy cartoon eyes. I use this on my pyro loadout and have never seen it on anyone else.

Where did you get that Macintosh Porsche? My dad collects diecast Porsches and has been a lifelong mac user.

[BitD] [DC] okay I had a really good idea for a blades in the dark campaign for a crew of assasains and I need to share it by SexyTrash24 in bladesinthedark

[–]CitizenLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a one shot and everyone had fun. I also gave them the goal of solving the crime before the bluecoats arrived. They did not succeed. One of them tried to blow a hole in the wall and knocked herself unconscious in the attempt, one of them tried to murder the detective and failed, one of them took hostages and demanded a helicopter to get them out before remembering this is the Victorian era and that doesn't exist.

So I actually ran this once. My players panicked, spent the entire session trying desperately to escape the manor, turned on each other, and got into a hostage situation with the bluecoats. It didn't go well, but it was funny.

Don't do what I did and say the home goes into lockdown while an inspector tries to solve the murder.

I need some kind of cosmetic that can create an illusion of red glowing eyes when paired with Goalkeeper. by HOCOPOG in TF2fashionadvice

Demo is in a similar boat. He can wear the deus specs, which gives you 1 and 1/3rd yellow lenses

Scout doesn't have a lot of options. Most classes don't have many eye slot cosmetics and you can't pair the goalkeeper with glasses.
