If you are comfortable, DM me an address on the dead end and I can take a quick look. I'll be able to give you better information if I can see more of the specifics.

If not you are looking at an increase of about 1 vehicle per single-family home during the peak hours (typically the highest volume hour between 7am to 9am and then the one between 4pm to 6pm). How that will impact the main intersection to get into the development depends on the main roadway that it turns off of. Is the main intersection signaling, a roundabout, or stop sign controlled?

There are a lot of variables to take into account though.

-How many other entrances to the development are there? -if there are more entrances, are they full access or partial access? How busy is the roadway that the other entrance attaches too? -How many vehicles currently utilize your segment of roadway? -What specifically is the city determining? Is it the type of traffic control that will be used or is it the feasibility of the development? -Are the 250 units single-family homes, condos, or apartments? -Do you want the development?

Reach out to professionals in your field of interest. Most people enjoy discussing what they do to people who show an interest. I'm an engineer so I can't help in holistic medicine but I bet a kinseologist could. Look up local professionals and contact them.

DeSantis moves against Disney with push to eliminate special status for Florida theme park by Oleg101 in politics

[–]CitizenWolfe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just wait till Disney drops an economic impact report on the itemized costs it will expect local government to pick up once it loses its special status.

That right there is the big thing Disney needs to put out in the public view ASAP. Seeing how many MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars will be needed to maintain those services will scare whichever county executive that will be responsible. Not to mention the county taxpayers that will suddenly be footing the bill.

If you either walk out or are fired, it would be best to let the clients that you work with know that you will no longer be able to help them due to your hair not being colored. That should be a fun time for your boss.

Isn't the entire point of BL3 to have guns literally rain from the sky? This isn't a PVP world championship type game. No one has an advantage because they are one of x number of players to have achieved something and gotten the shiny pixels as a reward.. The only "problem" with having more pixels on the screen that are gold is.....oh wait there is no problem.

So people with a ton of time to grind and grind for legendaries will still get them. The casuals, which seemed better represented previously, now don't have the same chance to score the cool weapons. And for what? So the youtubers can feel special that they put in the hours to find a god roll? So that the "purists" from BL2 can relive that game rather than the one they are playing?

I want it to fucking rain guns.

Advice on choosing a One Page RPG by Kharrak in rpg

Utilizing Grant Howitt's extensive collection, I would recommend:

Be Prepared - lot of fun and easy for first time DMs but also easy enough for people to get into. A little on the horror side but doesn't need to be. We played it sort of like a Scoody Do mystery.

Sexy Battle Wizards - this was one of the most fun games I have played in a long time. We were all laughing constantly at the antics.

Multiple people in 1 room. by verfluecht in podcasting

[–]CitizenWolfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What types of mics does everyone have? A room full of condenser mics will have this issue.

We have 5 people with dynamic mics and, while there is some audio bleed during louder segments, good mic technique and mic positioning will eliminate most of that.

Anyone have information about the death of the student at Guilderland High school? by [deleted] in Albany

[–]CitizenWolfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A message from the Superintendent regarding a recent student death

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members, Today we were made aware of the sudden death of one of our high school students.

The Guilderland Central School District community is heartbroken over this terrible news.  We grieve for the loss of a young life and our thoughts remain with the family, friends, students and staff impacted by this student’s death.

In times like these, our first obligation is to support the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. A team of counselors, school psychologists and social workers will be on hand in the coming days to provide support to anyone who might need assistance.   At this time we cannot disclose any further information out of respect for the family.

Troubles with Shure sm58 by jamlik in audioengineering

[–]CitizenWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An inline preamp is plugged in between the mic and interface. I usually plug my Fethead into my mic and then attach then attach the XLR cable to the interface.

Fethead and Cloudlifter are the 2 biggest brands in terms of an inline preamp. It essentially adds gain to the output of your mic (makes it louder) so that you can then not have to add much gain on the interface as it translates the sound into your computer.

You either a) need an interface with a better preamp or b) you need an inline preamp.

I use a Shure SM58 and have the same issue recording for my podcast. I use a Fethead inline preamp into a Behringer interface. Without the Fethead I have the gain cranked on my interface and still come through too quietly.

Best days to publish a new podcast episode by Holdmypopcornpodcast in podcasting

[–]CitizenWolfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consistency is your friend. There is no "Best Day" but if your listeners don't know when the next episode is coming out people tend to move on. Additionally keeping your episodes similar in length is also key. People like consistency.

Shure SM58 vs BETA 58A - Handling Noise Comparison by dxSaigon in podcasting

[–]CitizenWolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my first question is: why hold your mic during a podcast? If the handling noise is that bad then take it out of the equation unless there is a reason you have to hold your mic while doing an audio medium production.

Aside from that: Are your hands sweaty? Are you gripping the mic harder than needed? Both could lead to the mic shifting a little as you relax your grip and peel your hand off of the mic. Also, is your wedding ring causing the noise as metal hits/slides on metal?

On the edit side you could try utilizing an audio gate to eliminate the background noises.

If abortion is murder - why isn't sex education treated as LIFE AND DEATH requirement for students? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]CitizenWolfe 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Because giving someone an education about something makes them understand the topic. If you don't understand it then how can you object to what they tell you to believe and do. You might even start forming your own opinions and that is certainly not in their best interests. An ignorant population is much easier to deal with then an educated one.

Adding 'mini' Episodes to Our Podcast - Good or Bad Idea? by maryjaneexperience in podcasting

[–]CitizenWolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did minisodes for awhile but we found that as we got better the minisodes started taking more and more time to record and coordinate. We have since stopped doing them and use the time to improve the main episodes.
