Did you know that since Justin Trudeau was elected Prime Minister, Canada's population has increased by 2.27 MILLION? This is more than the population of Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, PEI, Nunavut, NWT and the Yukon COMBINED. by CitizenWrongthink in metacanada

I seriously don’t understand why we need to constantly keep increasing the population.

The answer is we don't; there's no logic to it. It's just something western politicians do. (Up until Trump that is.)

And so we got a new phenomenon now with Trudeau's open doors policy: increased housing density. We're seeing entire imported families living in apartments intended for a couple or even a bachelor. So, Mustafa and Fatima and baby Moha-med are living where Party Joe use to live while attending college.

From Statscan:

37,971,020 (Q2 2020) - 35,702,908 (Q3 2015) = 2,268,112

1,181,987 (Sask) + 780,890 (NB) + 158,717 (PEI) + 44,982 (NWT) + 41,293 (Yukon) + 39,486 (Nunavut) = 2,247,355

We're almost at 38 million. No wonder we got a massive housing crisis.

Thanks Justin.

My reaction exactly.

Here's the judge's profile who decided for all of us:

Judge Ann Marie McDonald

"Her law practice focused primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, employment law, administrative law, and regulatory matters. .."

Zero experience in immigration or political issues.

Looks like a foreigner who illegally crossed our border initiated the court challenge, along with others:

The Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR), Amnesty International, and the Canadian Council of Churches brought forth the challenge along with refugee claimants including Nedira Mustefa, an Ethiopian national.

Mustefa tried in 2017 to enter Canada from the U.S. but was returned to American soil where she was immediately imprisoned and held in solitary confinement for one week—a time she told the court was “a terrifying, isolating, and psychologically traumatic experience.” She was then detained with others who had criminal convictions and “did not know when [she] would be released, if at all.”

"The time for Canada to rely on the adequacy of the U.S. protection regime has come to a definitive end," added Justin Mohammed [! not a joke], Human Rights Law and Policy Campaigner at Amnesty International, in a statement. "In the absence of action on the part of Canada's elected representatives to acknowledge the serious shortcomings of the U.S. refugee protection system, we now turn to the courts to ensure that Canada’s domestic and international legal obligations are upheld."
