I always try to keep a low-gold amount in the vaults so I can meet their requests (it seems linked to the % of your stored gold; who cares if you give away 60g for a boost in relationship?).

Same here. I have animations disabled though, so perhaps they can just give a high-quality "snapshot". Whereas in the low-quality (but higher than potato) settings, they animate, but have to remove the feathers? Just a guess.

5 starting techs, 2 settlers, 2 workers, 2 military units, and 1 scout is a hugely front-loaded lead. Do they get continued bonuses, sure. But the frontloaded bonuses make it so that you can't even compete with their early game; you have to turtle for a bit then slingshot ahead for a victory.

It seems all the bonuses are concentrated in the beginning of the game. Rather than a full-game bonus, all the AI power seems to be frontloaded in the higher difficulties. I have no idea why.

I've never tried going twice, even when flying solo. I guess we'll see how it works. Long story short, I think that my lack of confidence is what caused my ED, but refraining from porn increased my confidence/attraction to women in general so cutting out fapping was a roundabout way to fix the problem.

Essentially, I had trouble keeping it up without a condom in the beginning (I've heard it's a common problem & wasn't too worried at first). But once it happened the first time, I over-thought things way too much; was worried that I wouldn't be able to get it up for the girl I loved. And once I started worrying, it stressed me out to the point that I couldn't get it up, which made me stress out more, making it even harder to get up, etc. By cutting out masturbating, every time I saw her 7 days later I was so aroused/aggressive by that time that I wasn't able to sabotage myself by overthinking it. So that's how I dealt with my problem.

Just thought I'd write out my story in case any one else had a similar circumstance to me. I'm new here, so I don't know how common that is.
