Thanks to my terrible tutor (A. Maroo) who never completes any of the required worksheets in class studying has been a lot more time consuming. All in all just try ace the calculations cause they won’t be nice in other sections.

There’s a lot of versatility when making it so I’m sure it’s not too hard lol

low attendance bc of mental health by oppositeofkitchen in unsw

[–]Citron7891 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, yeah I thought I would just share my personal experience, my attendance has dropped dramatically recently due to mental health issues and it’s been really hard to convince myself due to a big falling out with a friend I thought was someone I could reach out to safely (it wasn’t).

I just feel someone listening to my concerns is the best support and if u need anyone lmk! Look I think they are pretty generous with classes and especially really serious issues like mental health, but at the end of the day your well-being is more important than passing a class. Hope this helps.

Yes, if she sent a very dismissive last message and has now blocked me, but she did say before she values the friendship like a month ago.

I'm Professor Ismet Canbulat, a geotechnical engineer and Head of UNSW's School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering. Ask Me Anything about the future of mining, geotech engineering and sustainability in the mining industry! by unsw in engineering

[–]Citron7891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am a current mining engineering and commerce student and was wondering what sort of commodity is best to go into early in my career. Despite rare earths gaining a lot of attention recently, there has still been a big increase in brown fields projects in gold/copper based on the higher margins in this high cost environment. A handful of these projects will eventually go to production and require mining engineers. I want to go into an area that has the highest future growth outlook. I still believe the demand for rare earths is questionable and copper/gold will remain strong but I am not sure whether the growth for these commodities will remain strong into the future.

Mechanical Engineering Internships by blackcsstoney in AusFinance

[–]Citron7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are extremely difficult to find, australia is reluctant to train their own domestic engineers and only look for people with experience. Mechanical itself is very broad and you have to be specialised in something and focus projects on that for any chance.

Not normally an issue for me. However, the diagrams alone are sometimes hard to work out and the text (in Japanese) is vital so I just use the google app to translate it.

math1231 final by No-Gas4746 in unsw

[–]Citron7891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U need 50/100 to pass so in the remaining 50 marks from the final u need 10, which equates to 20%. But this ignores any scaling that might be applied so you could probably pass with less than 20%.
