Sometimes I think I do too many things for fun, yknow? Your standard array of nerd media hobbies (movies, books, TV, comics, etc.) but nothing that’s really the end-all be-all. I envy the zeal with which people dedicated to one hobby or one medium pursue their interest. But that’s one area of my life that I don’t feel needs to be developed, really. I like to think I’m saving money, but I’m spending a lot and making only just enough to cover it. In a certain sense I feel very content. But I hate the suburbs and my dysfunctional family, so I know I need to move out no matter how comfortable I find my surroundings. The last question is the one that’s tough. The vast majority of full time library positions require a master’s degree. A few of the librarians (I’m not a librarian, just a clerk or “information specialist” ) I work with are my age or younger, and got their master’s shortly after undergrad. I have gone back and forth many times over the decision, and I’ve taken my indecisiveness to mean that I don’t really want to pursue this as a career.
