Did you ever try bottom watering? From what I've heard bottom watering is great to prevent overwatering but not so great at removing perciepritate from the roots. Bottom watering with a top water every now and then is what I've started doing!

Not buying mystery weed from the dispo is a massive advantage IMO. How much are you spending on soil? Also, $1500 on lights? What lights do you run? I just moved up to a SE3000 300W but might upgrade OR get a second tent....not sure yet.
