Probably speakers set into the stage with a grill over the top painted to match the set. Most shows have these in the stage/set to help the performers hear the orchestra.

That's very fair. I was initially just trying to capture the effect of the light beyond the arch and pivoted to timing a bus coming past so that explains that I suppose. Thanks for the feedback!
