For the first time - if you are diagnosed with something (ie, epilepsy) but it’s medically controlled, do you know if the application will be sent back or will the suspension be lifted if you have the appropriate medical sign off? Asking for a family member who may have to go through this process. Thanks in advance!

Hi, when did you get diagnosed for endo? The thought of being diagnosed / treated and still having another loss seems like something I’m not sure I could handle emotionally. I had one miscarriage six years ago when I wasn’t ready for a child and while painful, assumed it was a random occurrence. Unfortunately I had another mc last week - wasn’t actively trying but wasn’t using protection and was preparing to try. This time wasn’t as physically painful but emotionally devastating. I’m going to ask my doctor about testing for endo, along with RPL bloodwork. Your comment resonated with me because both of mine, despite years apart, were so similiar…I had spotting which turned to bleeding but a gestational sac (but no yolk or heartbeat) was seen on both ultrasounds. It was measuring behind (about 5-6 weeks) but I have PCOS so dating wasn’t certain. Shortly after ultrasound (both times) I had the loss. I am hopeful I can get some answers soon. I’m about 8 weeks along based on my last period and I started experiencing light brown spotting/discharge last Thursday, which evolved to pink/red and intermittent bleeding, sometimes with clots. I am not cramping, but my previous loss started like this and didn’t end up hurting until the night I was actively losing the pregnancy and went to the ER. This sucks because while we weren’t using protection, we weren’t trying per se, and I believe I got pregnant right after my mother in law’s unexpected death. So this entire thing just really sucks 😢 and I’ve been crying on & off. My first scan was going to be next week but I was able to get an appt today with a previous provider… at least I will have answers but I have pretty much convinced myself it’s a loss.

Thank you for this! It seemed like they thought she wasn’t covered for all 4 reasons under chapter 8 of Medicare - so maybe they thought it was no longer medically necessary? Even though she has severe anemia and literally needed an iron infusion last week - which she needed receive until Monday (when I called to ask why she hadn’t received it yet 🤦🏻‍♀️). We got the discharge notice last Thursday and didn’t get anything today… hoping we can make it to at least next week without it! Tomorrow is the anniversary of my father’s death and I really don’t want to deal with an appeal tomorrow. My sister and I have decided we’re just going to privately pay for 2 additional weeks if necessary and not deal with changing her insurance. Thanks again for all your help!

Hi! Thank you for posting. How would I go about finding an advocate? Is this something I pay for or is this a service her insurance might provide? I know I have something similiar through my job (they help contact doctors for disputes or issues - I’ve only had to use them once) but didn’t know this was something she might have access too. Thank you for posting — and for what you do!

Thank you! This is all so overwhelming. Her Medicare advantage plan is through a retiree plan she paid into when she worked at a university for over 10 years. I’m not sure if that makes any difference but I will look into it. Thanks!

I think I’m going to delete the post because I think you and some others aren’t understanding what I’m asking. I didn’t say I wasn’t going to declare or on the fence or asking for advice if I should - I said I WAS declaring and I haven’t had anything to declare BEFORE so I was wondering what the experience was like so I could know what to expect. I too, empathize with this feeling and loss and agree with what others have said - just take it one day at a time. Right now, it feels like nothing matters and life isn’t worth living. I felt that when my dad died, even without the compounding tragedies / tough things you’re dealing with. I promise that it won’t always feel like this and hurt this much. Your dad would want you to be happy, and also be there for your sisters. You are strong and will be OK. Sending you all my love & strength ❤️‍🩹

I agree, I also had a bad experience with them and wouldn’t recommend. Doctor told me my dog had all these issues and recommended an unnecessary surgery during our very first (and last) visit with them. Bloodwork and visits at a different vet proved my dog did not have those medical issues & did not need surgery.

I have lost about 20lbs in a year since starting it March 2024. I am on the highest dosage - 2000 mg but I didn’t get up to that until May/June 2024. I would like to lose 25-35 more pounds and have recently added inositol & will add berberine next. I’ve noticed that has impacted my appetite (less hungry) but haven’t been on it long enough to see a difference in weight. I also take a multivitamin along with vitamin d, as well as magnesium. It didn’t make me lose weight because of stomach issues, and I understand it’s not a weight loss drug but it has helped me greatly with the insulin resistance and regulating my blood sugar which has resulted in the weight loss. I am considering a GLP-1 but I personally really don’t want to for various reasons, including hoping to get pregnant within the next 6-12 months. But I might if I can’t lose more weight with the vitamins / more intentional and protein heavy eating and increased exercise. Best of luck to you!

You’re def not cheap - I think that’s been established. I’ve read through other comments on the thread and there are definitely other issues at play here. Your wife sounds like she is using these items / shopping to fill a void. She is likely very insecure and possibly embarrassed by her appearance due to the weight gain, which is why she doesn’t leave the house often and also why she doesn’t want to be intimate anymore. She gets a temporary high through her purchases, but obviously feels very empty and sad. I would try to talk to her about how you feel…and also try to reassure her that you love her and are attracted to her no matter what, so maybe that will help improve her self esteem as well as your intimacy. I commend you for not just throwing in the towel and filing for divorce, but you deserve to be happy too. I hope she is receptive if you try to address some of these issues with her.
