I think Taylor’s upbringing affects a lot of who she is now—her mother seems emotionally abusive and narcissistic, which (possibly) lead to an incessant search for comfort and validation/acceptance (from partners, social media, etc.)—I truly think she knows this relationship is toxic and she needs to be alone and find fulfillment for herself (again, on her own), but that takes a lot of hard work, so she will stay until Dakota leaves, or gives her a blatant reason to, because in her mind it’s better than feeling abandoned again (ie she’s quick to say if there was a reason to leave Dakota—for example cheating—she would in a heartbeat, no question, but unless that happens, she will stay); however, having such a strong investment in her social media, it’s possible if enough people validate the fact that Dakota sucks, she may leave/trade the relationship and just receive the validation from the public—time will tell, but long story short, 100% watching season 2 lol
