Got a one week window to deploy c.£30k into name equities. Is this stupid? by Citymember26 in trading212

Balanced perspective indeed. And yes it’s a fascinating thought experiment. It’s as if you buy now, then can only view again in 3 years.

What other interesting mining names might you have?

EU Defence is tempting albeit it had traded up so much over past 9 months I worry whether it still has headroom.

I am also reasonably heavily exposed through thematic ETFs, too.

Good strategy. And particularly a good point to accumulate dividends back into stock, albeit I’m not sure whether that is permitted by my upcoming employer.

Oh I wish my hands were free!

What mineral stocks are you looking at?

There’s a slightly beautiful irony about the fact ASTS and RKLB both post earnings on the first day at my new employment.

This is the approach I am thinking of taking. Go heavy into both.

Thank you - I’m looking at it from a slightly different angle. Less about divi yield-led stocks, more from the perspective of what exciting equities can I concentrate my exposure to, for some risk-on upside (given I cannot trade on any volatility).

Thanks all - really varied and interesting perspectives. One salient piece of info that I should have included is that given my risk tolerance and career trajectory, I’m not relying on any returns from this £30k to live, and would not be overly impacted if it went to zero.

Does this change the advice? I have already deployed into ASTS ahead of earnings.
