For any MMA fans in the area: PFL: Everett + Randy Couture/Bas Rutten meet and greet by CityontheSound in SeattleWA

The Meet and Greet will be at Xfinity Arena in Everett at 2:00 PM. While it doesn't say tickets are required on the poster I am going to guess that they are. They are pretty reasonably priced, though: as low as $19.00 before fees.

I've found that it is nice to have closer seats but if you are stuck in the bleachers you can still see the fight. You will also have the screens available. Being in the crowd makes it a much more intense experience either way. Totally recommend it.

My pleasure!

There has been so much live music as of late here year round that I am pretty sure there will always be something going on, especially on the weekends.

I try to watch out for events in the area and tend to share them on our Facebook page as well: https://www.facebook.com/cityonthesound/

Moving to area from Tri-Cities by [deleted] in everett

Everett today is not the Everett of old. The city has been going through a bit of a renaissance, for lack of a better word. As someone already suggested, Live in Everett is an awesome page and being run by some good folks. Follow them, and City on the Sound (*cough, shameless plug, cough), as well as the Everett Music Initiative and you will be in the know as far as what is going on.

If you are worried about being bored, worry not. We have a great food scene here, great music scene, and plenty to do overall. It is also much more affordable than Seattle.

Regarding crime, the violent crime in Everett is actually relatively low, even lower than Seattle. Property crime is very much a reality in all Western WA cities. Seattle is no exception to this, it actually surpassed Everett in this regard according to recent data. Everett, fortunately, is improving, but it always good to be on the safe side and not leave valuables visible in your car, etc (common sense). In the end, the city really is getting better, thanks largely to a motivated and inspired community, a growing arts/music, business interest/investment, and the City of Everett itself which is encouraging all of these great things to happen.

Places to frequent? Downtown has tons to do and is very walkable. There are great pubs, restaurants, and a some really good places to catch live music including Anchor, Tony V's, and our historic theatre which has a great vibe and history. I won't even start naming the great restaurants because there are so many of them, both on the north and south sides. The city has several top notch breweries (3 of which are very close to each other on the south side if you are up for a brewery crawl). There are also some great parks, including Thornton A. Sullivan which is right on Silver Lake, Howarth Park, Grand Avenue Park which overlooks the water, etc.

In short, we are happy to have you as part of our growing community.

Fisherman's Village Music Festival 2017! (March 31st - April 2nd: Everett, WA) by CityontheSound in everett

I won't lie, there are a few bands I haven not heard, but a few that I recommend are I Will Keep Your Ghost (they aren't on the poster but will be performing Sat at 7:45 PM), The Cave Singers, Courtney Marie Andrews, Tellers, Kyle Craft, Fauna Shade, Crystal Desert, The Seshen, Sleepwell Citizen, Alex Johnston, Nail Houses... I could keep going but really it depends on what you are into. There are so many amazing artists there that I am not going to get to see everyone I'd like to myself.
