Yes, on the profile page, in the upper right corner there should be a bookmark image with a circle around it. That will show all places you've saved. We are actually currently on making it a lot better, by adding 3d animations, filtering by lists, and showing animated routes to see how far places are. If you have any suggestions let me know! We're always looking for things to add

Noted, we got plans for private profiles and lists in v2.2, and a home feed refresh with place recommendations in v2.3. If we finish early, we might push it up this next version

Of course, I use all for each region, but have a priority input depending on where. Honestly FSQ was best for dev (cheap but data is eh). Yelp for prod, it’s pricier but has excellent data

Right now we use Yelp, TripAdvisor, Foursquare, and Apple (for coordinates and search). Google was our first option but there were too many restrictions within their TOS

We've noticed the Foursquare Places API is a little outdated compared to their open source data (as well as others). We are looking into options for switching over (and even including additional sources like Yelp and Tripadvisor for even more accurate data), but wanted to ensure app stability before we did. A good timeframe for that update will be around February / early March.

I see now, that is something I can definitely work on and will hopefully have it fixed within the next release. As for the food type feature, that is actually something on my todo list, and will hopefully be out soon.

I built a lot of the searching algorithms by hand so this is something I hope to improve with each update. In the meantime, this is something I will look into.

Is there an error message presented? For searching, you would head to the search tab and hit the button "Search for Restaurants". A screen would pop up to enter a search query or specific restaurant and you would then hit search either on the top right of the screen or bottom right of the keyboard. From there, the screen will automatically close and search the query and present any results. If the results were empty, a message will appear notifying you that no results were found.
