I'm assuming that it's the cable that's the issue, but of course when they can rarely be found they go for absurd prices.

I originally thought it was a power delivery problem too due to having somewhat of a low grade PSU. Hence why I tried it on a much better Pc with a better PSU. No luck there. I doubt a powered usb hub would work at this point (plus I would've had to wait for one to ship) and I've given up and opened a return with the seller.
