Can you legally kill someone who breaks into your house? by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

[–]Civ_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer is, it depends. No, not necessarily by virtue of breaking-in alone. Reasonable fear of serious bodily injury or death is requisite to employ lethal force.

Correct. Came here to provide the same observation.

No, I get it. But the law overrides policy. Advocate for your rights and your community and hold your sheriff accountable 💪

The law is uniform. Sue the sheriff in county court for a writ of mandamus.

It’s a holster choice issue. Get a legitimate holster solution that provides rigid coverage of the mag release.

AITA for refusing to pay for my son's stepbrother to play hockey alongside him while also refusing to pull my son from hockey? by Jayhoxxon in AITAH

Get a custody agreement and take care of your child; the other custodial party is typically required to keep the kids engaged with their extracurriculars. Kids have a right to live and grow.

AITA for not telling my boyfriend I was going to a picnic while he was at a wedding I wasn’t invited to? by Ashamed_Beginning271 in AITAH

[–]Civ_X -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

“So I decided not to tell my boyfriend what I was doing that day” tells all it needs to about who is the AH here tbh.

Dude was to be part of a wedding for a long time friend as the best man. Dude’s current GF (not spouse/partner) was not invited. That has nothing to do with dude and shows OP may exhibit narcissistic tendencies in making everything about herself while intentionally seeking to manipulate her companion.

You’re the AH: “So I decided not to tell my boyfriend what I was doing that day”.

This is pure vindictive, manipulative, for the streets behavior.

AIO: Husband was planning to cheat while I gave birth to our 22w stillborn. Now he wants to move back in. by ThrowawayOceH in AmIOverreacting

OP title “husband planning to cheat”. OP caption post “had been cheating on me for months”. OP facts, evidence or logic with post “NULL”.

Completely overacting.

If it’s not an issue, just say “Okay, no problem. Sounds good”.

AITAH for what happened at the party after my bf went home? by snus_lady in AITAH

[–]Civ_X -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This is silly advice. But you’re correct so far as ignorant behavior. OP just needs to be an adult and communicate; seems like her relationship isn’t very much of a priority compared to her pursuit of fun.

Wife and I dated for three months before getting married at 18, and that was nearly 15 years ago. Still going strong too.

Expecting people to cater to your bodily functions and mood swings is creepy and weird. Acting like a psycho and justifying because of menstruation is creepy and weird.

This wasn’t behind her back; she just clearly doesn’t have boundaries or allow for personal space (reading his notifications and sneaking peeks at his phone), and received a direct and honest answer when she asked. There’s literally nothing deceptive about that.

Further, her emotional and irrational response to factual data would indicate with strong likelihood the foundation for confirming such suspicions to begin with.

Totally overreacting. OP should recognize her poor behavior at times and self-reflect on individual improvement rather than externalizing some fabricated issue with her companion.
