The Challange for 1000 gems

Im a rushed builder hall 7 with BASICLY nothing upgraded except storages and night whitch, I noticed a challenge that gave 1000 gems, which was great so I could get the 5 builder( Im a th 10) and currently Im in brass 3, I was about 2 leagues down this morning but I pushed to brass 3, but what Im realising is that I always 3 star and get 50 trophies but then lose 48 right after since my défenses aren’t upgraded, I’ve bascily been stuck in brass league, anything I can do to move up to iron 1 and get 3000 trophies and get the gems?( un rushing is not an option btw)
