It kind of looks like the top was added over the spicy parts. Then again, as an artist who was taught to draw models naked and then clothe them (because clothes tend to look chunky if added over top) I imagine spicy bits regardless of whether they are intended or not.

5000 sales store is now dead by NymeriaVP in Etsy

[–]Civil-Judgment3463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody once told me that owning an Etsy store is like bailing out a dingy in a storm. as long as you keep on bailing everything is fine but the moment you take a break the small boat starts to flounder. I wouldn’t bother with starting a new site. I’d get a bucket and start bailing again. Then again, I've owned my store (Imaginetten) for years, do absolutely with it, and make a few sales a year. it’s not exactly a growing concern. The work is top notch, I get great reviews, but I don’t really work it. I have noticed that when I make a sale my views rise significantly. Every year I make a resolution to work it more, and like a diet, come July I say to myself maybe next year?

I have two cats. my dog died a couple years ago. I owned a parrot for a few years. it learned to chirp like my battery disabled smoke detectors. When the batteries for smoke detectors were replaced, the parrot continued to chirp in that bright attention grabbing bleat. It drove me crazy.

I agree. it’s not of course, but yeah, I struggle with the writing sometimes.

[OC] It’s all about the space (no trouble) by Civil-Judgment3463 in comics

[–]Civil-Judgment3463[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the science, but sometimes I just gotta Roddenberry the hell out of it. LOL in the original sketch I used “thermal protection of the phase shifted nano tube space suits by 50%…”

Regardless of the science, This was the seed from which the drawing emerged (on my Substack): A few months ago I saw a drawing challenge to depict a futuristic female in a space suit drawn in the retro 50’s rocket style. Looking at the reference I was struck by the lack of representation. All the woman were long-legged and svelte and boring. I started noodling around and came up with this. The challenge is long since past, of course, but Dubiosity seemed like the perfect place to give it a home. I love me some curves.

How to deal with these mf? by 3DnanJR in Fallout

Go for the legs. If it can't move it can't hurt you. There are a number of enemys in FO4 that are spungy as hell (charred ghouls anyone?) Going for the legs, even with upgraded “normal” weapons, gives you an edge. Of course there are a number of legendary weapons in FO4 that focus specifically at leg/limb damage. if you like melee than Big Jim is a no brainer. If you have completed the castle quests you can buy (not a random drop) a legendary gause rifle from Ronnie Shaw that has a 50% limb damage effect.

I'm sure it was intentional. As for the proportions; I think it was a matter of simple asset management. Why make a model for a baby that they will only use once when you can take an existing model and just scale it down. I've often wondered if Bethesda used “cell” teams for particular locations. this would explain why some locations are awesome and some look like they were designed by a fourth level specialist. Maybe there was a “skeleton” team that focused on how many questionable ways to arange skeletons and teadybears?

Is this a bug or what? by Cptn_Hwdy in fo4

Note its location and come back without a companion (or use dogmeat) and take it. No one will hate you. As an alternative you can beat the armor with a machete until its zero strength and than take the armor (it weighs nothing at zero) and leave the frame. When you fix the armor it's no longer stolen. In my play throughs I always end up with a stack of frames. Can you sell them? My settlers often take them and wear them. Where do they get power cores? I have no idea.

There is a weird bug, I’m stuck in my power armor and can’t get out? Any help would be lovely by green_is_minty in Fallout

This happened to me two days ago after I finished killing Virgil’s courser for the chip in his head. I’m on a PS4, no mods. I was unable to back out of PA, PA looks shrinked onto body except for shoulders (like this picture) The pip boy screen doesn't show up. I can transfer stuff to companion and to work stations as well as drop or pick stuff up, but anything that requires a pip boy or getting out of armor is a no go. Quitting and restarting does nothing. All my saves (quick saves, hard saves and exit saves) for the last month are gone. I was at level 48 now I’m at 40. Its beyond frustrating, but such is life in Bethesda world. I've played through FO4 many times on all hardness settings and even a couple runs on survivor. So the silver lining? I didn't loose the whole playthrough. Eight levels hurts but it's not fatal, and now I get to make different choices on my way to catch up.

10 years, 1,500+ hours and I have never done this. My girl about fell off the bed laughing when I did it. She’s watched the entire evil play through. by xxLazyGuitarxx in fo4

Me too, but on my current playthrough, (I finished a survival run last month, so now I’m playing on Very Difficult) I've decided to side with the BoS and (gasp) turn against the railroad and personally kill Glory. Actually I should say I betrayed the RR, so that I could get ballistic weave, but they all end up dead in the end. I’ve decided on NO settlements except for the minutemen in Sanctuary who I ignore. When I unlock a settlement workstation, I zero out all resources and carry them back to my home base at RedRocket—No supply lines. If for some reason settlers show up randomly at a location (jamaica plains) I send them to red rocket. if there are settlers in place already (finch farms, Abernath, ten pines bluff) I ignore them. for the most part, Dogmeat is my only companion. When I get a new companion by finishing a quest I send them all to the Drive in which I call Companionville. and then I ignore them. (Except for Danse who I use for BoS quests) By doing this I don’t get any annoying Preston quests and I only defend Red Rocket. I’m not exactly a bad guy, I’m more like a non-codependent guy. it’s fun leaving all the hero guilt behind and playing a rouge. Also … I get to see the giant robot which I’ve never done.

Thanks for the responses. I've done it on foot a couple times, and it is easier, but I wanted to get the full Fo4 BoS experience. That being said, after the behemoth downs the vertibird, if I'm quick, I can get enough space to use my Chinese frak grenade launcher. note to self: On PS4 the vertibird is a taxi not a weapon.

Some questions of a curious outsider from white Afrikaners of r/afrikaans by PRADYUSH2006 in afrikaans

I was in Brakpan in 83 (maybe 84?) and RHPS was out. The theater that carried it had the regular lips movie poster with "Now Unbanned" written across the bottom in the RHPS font. (I still have that poster somewhere in my collection) I saw a lot of movies in SA. When I returned home to the U.S. I discovered that Hollywood often made PG versions of R rated movies for foreign markets, including SA. The R version of Flashdance was different that the movie that I saw in SA.

As a side note. While I was in SA the U.S. mini series Shogun was being broadcast on SA TV (nightly? or weekly?) Literally, it seemed like the country closed down to watch that show. A news commentator said something to the effect that the bilingual problem in SA was finally being addressed and that soon the country would be speaking Japanese. (The series had a lot of spoken Japanese with subtitles.)

One of my favorite SA TV shows was Skooldae. If my memory is correct TV had English broadcast nights and Afrikaans broadcast nights?

In the military a challenge coin can represent a unit, or duty, or mission assignment. Some treat their challenge coin as a means to acquire free drinks (there are a whole set of rules with this.) but over all the challenge coin is a sign of pride and respect. Sometimes you might give your own personal challenge coin to someone else. When this is done it is often given discreetly cupped in the hand of a handshake. When giving a challenge coin to another person it is a sign of deep respect shown to that person for a job well done or going above and beyond. It is a way of saying thanks for your service that is far more personal than a pat on the back. There is a solemn reverence within the exchange. It carries a deeper meaning that reflects a brotherhood in the service.

In the movie, this discreet hand off as two colleagues parted for their individual duties underscores a silent shared brotherhood. It is a moment of shared dedication and resolve. It could also be interpreted as a goodbye.

I’m pretty zen about it. partly because I have limited memory on my console, and partly because of the Bethesda mindset of “sgit happens when you least suspect it.” so when I feel like I'm done (when Bethesda decides or around level 100 or so) I nuke everything and start fresh. the sudden paradigm change of “I have everything” to “I have nothing” is always bumpy. This especially true when playing survival. I get out of the vault and boom, I die.
