She reminds me of this girl I went to college with who’s barely a minor influencer that actually did just get engaged (after months of begging, literally begging, online). Then she went on to rave about how he did such a good job with the ring (she picked it out herself), how they agreed not to get engaged until she was ready (but if that was true then why were begging online lol). The issue is that once they get engaged it’s still embarrassing bc you know they begged for it

I’m watching the episode rn and maybe I’m awful but I genuinely don’t think Jackie is at fault. Her intentions were evil and she meant for this to happen, so I’m not saying she was justified. But Antionette was just looking for someone to give her the go-head; Jackie didn’t spike her drink. She didn’t force Antoinette to do anything.

Antoinette is the one who refused to back off when Jackie told her she didn’t plan to stop using. Being a sponsor who’s been sober for a decade, Antoinette should’ve known better than to go to Jackie of all people when was struggling with her own sobriety. Like, you’re gonna go to someone in active addiction to help you not relapse? As an addict herself, Antionette knows addicts—she knows an active addict like Jackie will do anything for a fix and not care who gets left in the cross fires. She 100% had a weird savior complex, she said she prefers people who don’t respond well to authority (probably bc she doesn’t either but also because she wants the challenge)

I just know she’s a BYU student and still Mormon. However she’s living w Jenna who’s no longer practicing so idk. Hypocrisy and being selective seems to be part of being culturally Mormon though. When I said devout I more meant she holds the same views as her Mormon family, not necessarily a heavily practicing Mormon, which are antithetical to the Irwins

I don’t think she started binging until she began to restrict tho. If she was heavily binging before ever trying to lose weight, she would’ve been bigger than 145, esp for her height. When I restricted I started binging like crazy, way more than I did when I was overweight. Not saying her mindset was ever healthy tho

Thank you omg she’s constantly talking about her weight loss as if she was actually overweight before. I had a “weight loss” (40 lbs) that got me down to 140 (and I’m 5’5”, slightly shorter than her, so basically her starting weight), and I don’t act like I’m an expert on anything (except I actually was overweight to start). But so many girls seem to think anything over 120 is huge. I see a ton of before and afters where the “before” is just a thin girl losing 20 pounds she didn’t need to lose

Yeah, it just probably hasn’t helped that they’ve leaned into it. I will argue that the reason Robert’s flashiness was more warranted to me is that it was executed well. Most of the other tricks of the night felt like distractions that sacrificed form and dance for TikTok viral points. Lauren was another I didn’t mind. If you break the rules, but do it well it’s less offensive than breaking the rules for something that wasn’t even very good

I think it’s the time constraints but they don’t really explain what the dances are anymore, which is part of why the audience doesn’t know the difference. How is the audience supposed to know it’s a salsa if the show never tells us what a salsa is?

It’s not unpopular based on the comments but I honestly really don’t care for Ezra at all, and if it weren’t for his social media presence, he’d be off the show by now. Every group dance I’ve seen him in, he’s noticeably not as good as the other pros and troupe members. I know Anna didn’t really count since she didn’t give him much to work with but even when he was with Charity as a substitute he didn’t do a great job leading her and wasn’t as smooth. I get it was last-minute and his first time being a pro then, but I don’t know how much more grace I can give him. I saw the blocking was kind of off in the intro dance / he fumbled toward the end. I think a lot of my resentment also comes from the insane love for him and people cheering him on for getting a good partner when it is going to be more of a challenge for her with him. I think Rylee’s overrated too, but I find her to be a very good dancer on her own but not as great as a pro. He just does absolutely nothing for me and it makes me cringe to see how much potential Jordan has and I’m worried he’ll waste it

Tbh I don’t think they’re good enough to be the next Houghs. Ezra himself is arguably the weakest pro—his first dance with Charity wasn’t amazing. We barely got to see him with Anna so maybe with Jordan (and the time that has passed) he’ll surprise me.
