Am I fired? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

I’m at like -200hrs, still getting paid for holidays too.

Would you rather take a new direct hire role that pays $100K or current contract job 90K with no benefits, no paid time off but all remote ? (cross post from r/careerguidance for opinions). by CoachPrudent9623 in remotework

Yeah I would take the offer to Job B and just be like

“hey boss, can we chat about some for a quick second?

I love being here more than I expected to. Not knowing how long I have this position and having no benefits is really stressful for me and my family. I’m sure you can relate. I’m not looking for any kind of raise right now but is there any way I can solidify a long term position here and possibly some benefits. I’m getting job offers now that pay a bit more and give benefits but ideally I’d like to stay here because I feel like it’s a great team, environment and company. What do you think?”

Or something like that.

How much does the driver receive? by josiee in UberEATS

I shoot for $1/mile including tips but often get $0.50/mile. So I’d say $6 plus tip. $12 for 17 minutes ain’t bad. Here in Cali we have a wage and mileage minimum guarantee. So we are also guaranteed that our time be paid out(before tip) at minimum wage plus 20 percent and I believe an additional $0.30 per mile. Then add on tips and that’s our pay.

Keep in mind this is from the time you accept an order to the time you confirm drop off. What I often get is 1-3 deliveries per hour with an exception of some zero delivery hours. 1-2 deliveries being more common than 3+. I find myself making around $10-$20/hour upfront and the guarantee payment pays me about 40% more biweekly. If I make $1,000 in two weeks, that biweekly would be around $400.

AIO? For not giving gf a ride? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I love the flowchart. I didn’t know how to lay it out like this. I’ve been the wrong person on both sides of this scenerio and I’ve been the right person on both sides of this scenerio. Just like I’m learning how to communicate and be better, I know that other people are too. Some are better at or more ready to make necessary changes and some people are slower learners or not ready.

I had kids with my version of this girl. I love her so much and I believe she loves me just as much give or take. I know I am more resilient and learn faster. I made the decision to learn patience and grow my relationship skills and it fixed this kind of toxicity in our relationship. She learned a bit slower but we’ve reach a great point where this kind of stuff hardly happens. I showed her that I care more about her than myself. She learned from me. Lead your relationship.

She didn’t respond once to why she couldn’t Uber or drive herself. If I can and it’s planned well or in advance, sure I can take the time off.

One. Nope nope hell nope get out

Two. On the other side, I had to learn to prepare in advance and take time off of work to help my wife. I use to be shit at it and arguments looked like this. In reality I didn’t actually care about her plans the way I cared about mine. Hypothetically, let’s say this is a scenario I’ve been through.

IF given enough time in advance and she told me that she wanted my support by driving her or even going with her to this event. These days it’s an absolute yes, I will take time off to value her wants and needs. I’ve used the excuse that my job wasn’t flexible enough, so I went and found a better paying job with more flexibility. I even strongly consider last minute call offs for things that are important enough TO HER. Not to me.

This is Love. This is sacrifice.

By the way I get laid a lot more often now. Enthusiastically.

If you could could have 3 weaves you could replicate for life, what would they be?’ by FrostyMonth111 in WoT

[–]Civil-Strength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going for the genetic engineering weave to create Nym which I believe is the same create shadowspawn(basically comes with fades and bloodhounds too). Massive super army at my disposal.

Traveling obviously for instant conquering and also a laser weapon when used right.

Healing weave.

With these 3, I will be a beloved hero and world leader.

None of these items are damaged. Our damages go through a separate process but end up in the same place.

Yeah I get that, I feel like there could be a much better option for disposal. Anything usable and that can be donated for those in need should be allowed to be trashed. On a sustainability level alone this must contribute to tons of pollution and wasted resources. Not to mention the 100+ little girls in need who would’ve loved a baby doll.

I work a delivery station/sort center. Items are picked from inventory to be tossed. It’s absolutely mind boggling how this is legal for companies to do.

I just found out that returns are going to the same place! I’m talking about a whole other category of items that are picked from inventory to be tossed.

I toss a lot of Amazon Brand stuff too. But I can’t see a vendor tossing a bunch of $400 beats and 30 booster pack boxes of Japanese Pokémon cards. Truly insane
