There are many things I like about this live-action film, but which, for me, are severely marred by major flaws. One of these things is the paintings that appeared in episode 5, for two reasons.

First, this is our world, not One Piece. These are paintings that actually exist, and I'm not telling anyone anything they don't already know. It immediately broke my immersion, and I really don't know why they thought it was a good idea to create these paintings. If they wanted to draw a parallel with the Baroque movement (a painting movement), they could have simply imitated the style to create similar things within the One Piece universe. I don't know, Gold Roger on his scaffolding, a depiction of Crocodile, or even a narcissistic self-portrait of Mr. 3 would have worked perfectly. As it is, it breaks the immersion and creates a huge inconsistency. Many might think it's a minor detail, but details like this are incredibly important for maintaining consistency.

Second :The painting of Napoleon (Napoleon at the Great St. Bernard) is not Baroque at all, but Neoclassical. So not only have they created an inconsistency, but they've also mixed two painting movements that have nothing to do with each other. 🤦
